First up, if you missed my post yesterday please go read about the books I’ve been reading. I have a list of recaps, book awards, and more. Sorry, the post was up late because I had it set to post in the PM instead of the AM. You can read it here!
This past weekend we got the festivities started early with a birthday party for Britt’s friend, Hadley . Hadley had a sweet little party at The Yard around lunch time. Britt had the yummiest grilled cheese and I had the club sandwich {highly recommend it!}.
Then Britty enjoyed her cupcake. 🙂
Can you tell?
This was my girl after I carried her in from the car…so tired! We’d had speech already that morning, run a couple errands, and then partied hard. She was exhausted!
Right after picking up the kids from school, we headed to our church’s Trunk or Treat. Several of the ladies from our Bible Fellowship Group met up to get our trunks all ready. What do you think about our pirate theme? I cannot take an ounce of credit. Some of my girlfriends are super talented. Me? I brought candy. hahaha!
I thought they turned out GREAT!
Pirate Erika was ready for it. 🙂
Thankful for this girl who found something at the last minute so I wasn’t the only pirate in attendance.
Some of us really got into the pirate spirit.
We had the cutest little helpers passing out candy for us.
This girl hung all night long!
At the end of the night, I looked around and all our big kid helpers were gone…just these four littles were still going strong. Libby, Brooke, Ashby, Madeley, and Britt 🙂
Sweet little friends that had the best time hanging out.
Saturday morning, we were up early for baseball tournament #1 of the weekend.
The area was a bit muddy. 😉
In the middle of the games, I can find myself thinking why’d they drop that, not catch it, overthrow, etc….and in between games I caught all these eight-year-old boys huddled around a phone-being JUST that…EIGHT! 🙂
In between Nixon’s games, we hopped over to watch Bowen’s flag football game. Thankfully, the tournament was in McKinney so it was possible to catch a peek for a few minutes. And super shout out to my in-laws who took Bowen to flag football for me.
Thankful for grandparents who come out to watch!
This little Tiger team is CUTE!
The tournament ended a bit early for us {boo!}, but we had just enough time to get home, shower, and head to a fun little Halloween party. I forgot to take any pictures, but all four of my kiddos had so much fun!
Sunday…it was baseball tournament #2. Nixon’s team played in a town about an hour away. Tab arrived and we all watched until about 3:00. Then I brought the other three kiddos back to McKinney for another Halloween party. 🙂
Every year we attend and my kids love it! Decorating pumpkins, hay ride, bobbing for apples, bounce houses…it’s a FUN night!
The sign of a good night is bobbing for apples and somehow leaving the party with wet shorts…right? #howdoesthathappen
Nixon’s team made it to the championship and snagged second place.
All in all, a GREAT Halloween weekend!
XO
