What I’m Priming Lately-4.6.20

This is BIRTHDAY week in our house!  WAHOO!  So, amidst the unknown and scary that is our reality right now, I’m shoving it even further away from my mind and we’re celebrating both Ebby Lee and Nixon quarantine style!

How was your weekend?  Tab and I FINALLY wised up and decided on Saturday night we were gonna have our own date night.  After everyone was showered and pj’ed up, we put on a kid movie in the living room and then watched the first two episodes of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in our room.  And while it looked way different than a date night out of the house, it was nice to watch something other than Disney for a couple hours.

I haven’t shared an Amazon round up in about six weeks and other than food from the grocery store, Amazon has been our lifeline for anything else.  Here’s what we’ve been priming lately…

Have you seen these?  One of my friends posted she took all of the games out of their original boxes and put them in these zippered pouches.  If your game set up is like mine, boxes are breaking, pieces are coming out the edge of the broken box, and it just looks like a mess.   Well enter these pouches.  This just might be life-changing.  I ordered mine but they haven’t arrived yet, but I thought it was such a great idea I’m sharing early.

My girlfriend, Brittany, sent me this after her pouches arrived so I went ahead and ordered this set {that’s all the 15 X 11} too.  She told me she had mostly games that needed big pouches and after checking out our stash, I realized we do too.  There are lots of pouches to choose from on Amazon.  I just kept scrolling until I found some that didn’t have a ship date in May.

After Britt’s surgery her speech therapist recommended this scar treatment which also has an spf so we use it daily to protect her little scar.  I took it with us on vacation as well and applied that on top of other sunscreen.

A super affordable pair of headphones was needed to add to our mix for online learning.  These fit the bill and make learning at the same time much easier!

If you’re like me, you’re in organization mode.  I found these organizers last year and this brand is my favorite.  I ordered more to add to our pantry.  They’re perfect for apple sauces, bars, individual snacks, etc.

Shay introduced me to this carpet cleaner years ago and I’d completely run out.  I had some pesky stains on our stairs that came right out with just a few scrubs of this cleaner.

I was running low on coffee, got nervous, and decided to prime this variety pack.  It arrived just in time!

Like I mentioned earlier, I have two birthdays this week as well as a few goodies I ordered from the Easter bunny.  All three of my big kids don’t believe in the Easter bunny BUT it’ll be a little something we do until they’re old and grown.  These are all birthday or Easter basket goodies…

Not Parent Approved Game-we haven’t played this yet, but online says 8 and up.  We’ve been doing a LOT of game nights lately!

Adventures in LetteringEbby Lee will love this one!

My boys have been really into their Nerf guns lately so extra bullets are definitely going in their Easter baskets.

Ebby Lee doesn’t have a phone so she asked for a digital camera for her birthday.  I don’t know what she’ll think about this, but we’re giving it a shot.

This Lego set was ordered for a friend of Bowen’s last week.

Would you Rather has always been a favorite in our house.

When we visited Pearl Harbor, we got Nixon the first book of this series at the gift shop.  He finished it last week so I ordered the other two books in this series to gift him.

Typically, our Easter baskets have summer goodies inside, so when I saw this pool ball I knew it would be a great addition and-

I’m adding this ball to a different basket.

I’ve seen this new game everywhere and like I mentioned before we’re playing all the games lately!

That wraps up what I’ve been priming lately.  What about you??
XO

I am trying not to Prime anything right now; got the spending on lock until we know what will go on economically in the US due to the virus. BUT! We played Throw Throw Burrito over Christmas break with family. SO FUN! Perfect for your family.

It is so tough right now. There is such an ethical dilemma of "should I spend money to support the economy" vs "will my frivolous purchases put someone at risk in the warehouse/shipping pipeline" I've decided to err on the side of caution and am not buying anything except absolute essentials. Since I'm in the NYC area, I am witnessing the horror all firsthand so that makes it more real. If you feel the need to spend, support small business and call a local boutique owner and offer to purchase the items from them and take ownership after this is all over or figure out a safe way for delivery.

A friend of mine was the one to post about games in zipper bags originally and then it went viral after Marie Kondo shared it. Give her a follow on Instagram- hello happy home. Super sweet mom of three and her account is full of other great organizing tips! ☺️

I used those same zippered pouches on our game closet and also used them for all our kid puzzles. Takes up SO much less space that way!

    Hi Erica!

I was just wondering you if buy through Amazon smile? You get to link your account to a charity and a portion of your payment goes toward the charity selected! I wasn't sure if you knew about it/ could set up an account for Amanda's charity!

    Have a great day,
