‘Twas the Weekend Before School

‘Twas the weekend before school started
When all through the town
 Bowen was wearing Ashby’s leggings
He didn’t even frown.

Shay and I became newbie dance moms,
Our first team meeting left us overwhelmed and tired
We heard lots of information
Make-Up, ballet shoes, and tights are required.

It was a miracle!
All  ready for church on time.
I got three kiddos to look (kind of)
And it didn’t cost a dime.

A lemonade stand was the plan
We gathered all the supplies
Then sold cool lemonade
To all the passer-bys.

We invited friends and family
Who came from all around
To try the best lemonade
Offered in our town.

The kids hooped, hollered
And pointed at the sign
By the time it was all over
They were on cloud nine.

Lots of red moustaches
And memories were made
We tucked in our kiddos
Going to kindergarten and first grade.  ðŸ™‚

Happy First Day Back to School!

That is such a fun idea to do a lemonade stand! I love it and it's great as a kid growing up in a neighborhood with other kids. I did in my hometown and made some memories I'll never forget there 🙂 Looks like y'all had a great last free weekend before school. Have a great Monday!

So cute! I'm so sad we missed the stand! My phone had died (because Carter had been playing Dinosaur Hunter on it and it sucks the battery up), and I didn't know it was dead! When I turned it back on it was too late. Looks like y'all had fun!

Girl, you're a poet!!!! I think Bowen's 3rd birthday definitely needs a rhyme on the invite…you've got a gift! 🙂 Happy first day of school!
