Ready or not, HERE IT COMES!!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you know the Super Bowl is happening in only four days!
This year the Carolina Panthers will be taking on the Denver Broncos in San Francisco, California, at 5:30 CST. You girls were so sweet and participated in my little poll I had going about who you wanted to win the Super Bowl. The end results were pretty close.
41% of you are cheering on the Panthers
59% of you are cheering for the Broncos
A few tidbits about the big game:
*The half time performer this year is Coldplay but word on the street (or the Internet) is lots of big names will make appearances. The 50th anniversary has to be even bigger than ever, right?
*Last year’s Super Bowl averaged 114.4 million views per minute.
*A thirty second Super Bowl ad is selling for as much as $5 million.
We’re hearing a lot about the two quarterbacks this week. Manning versus Newton-who’s gonna win??
For some, it’s all about the game! They love the atmosphere, the food, AND the football. For others it’s all about the food and commercials…
Those made me laugh. 🙂
I found this article that rounded up the “10 Best Super Bowl Commercials of All-Time”.
When I was going through all the most popular commercials, I found the one that stands out to me. From way back in 1998! ha! Do you guys remember this one? It tore at my heart strings a little. Which one stands out to you?? Do you have a favorite?
Whether you’re in it for the football or the food, we can all look cute, right?

I have a soft spot in my heart for these beanies. Aren’t they CUTE? If I was going to be watching the game in any type of remotely cool climate, I’d be sporting one of those.
I stumbled upon a few treasures from Etsy. Baseball moms, soccer moms, whatever kind of mom you might be-I think most of those Etsy goodies can be personalized for any team. Remember those for all the upcoming spring sports!
I rounded up a few of my favorite finds right now that are navy blue and orange. Isn’t that scarf the PERFECT Broncos’ scarf??
And after the collage was complete, I found this. Denver girls…you NEED this top!! Isn’t it perfect?
There’s one more thing you need to have the PERFECT Game Day…the FOOD!!
Shay has the best menu ideas. Here’s the perfect Super Bowl menu featuring dips (my fave!!), sandwiches, and even some sweet treats! Head over there for some fabulous ideas.
And a little “Way Back Wednesday”…back in 2008, Tab and I headed to Arizona for the Super Bowl between the Giants and the Patriots. AWWW!! The memories 🙂
Hope you’re gearing up for the BIG GAME this weekend! Happy Wednesday!
I'm excited about the game. Go Panthers! My two favorite commercials are "God made a farmer" and "little Darth Vader." Thanks for sharing these cute ideas.
Woohoo! Thank you for linking to my Super Bowl menu! I'm totally in it this weekend for the food. 🙂
That scarf is precious!! Makes me want to be a Denver fan!! love!!
Panthers all the way! That's all !
I'm in it for the food as well! I might not know who is playing, but I definitely know what I'm making! 😉
so excited for the game even though im not a huge football fan but my husband is ha. i just come for the food 😉
It's all about the food, commercials and a little bit of halftime show!!
How fun is this! Love it! Goo Panthers!!! xx
Such a fun post! I really love Manning and was tempted to cheer for the Broncos but for some reason I have a little soft spot for Cam and was just hoping to see him win. Those memes are funny…I'm all about the snacks for sure.
Sunday is also my birthday. I love when the big game occasionally lands on my birthday. I can pretend the party is for me, right? Living about three hours from Charlotte, I am on the Panthers bandwagon. I would like to see Peyton win and then retire. I think that is in his best interest. (Like he has asked for my opinion).
Two commercials stand out to me….One was for FedEx. It starred Steve Irwin who dies because he didn't use FedEx (and the other company didn't deliver the anti venom in time). At the time, it was really funny. Now, not at all. Second one was the 2013 Budweiser commercial where the Clydesdale remembers the man who raised him.
Rooting for Denver and hoping Peyton gets his win and will retire before his body retires on him.
I live just outside of Charlotte, NC so literally EVERYONE here is pulling for the Panthers! I think I'm the only woman on Earth that wishes they didn't make such a big deal about the commercials and the halftime show. I love football! But the food…I'm all in!
The Budweiser commercials with the Clydesdales are my FAVORITE! You can't go wrong with Superbowl food! The best!
