Happy Wednesday! I’m starting to believe there’s some truth to that whole groundhog shadow thing. Typically February in North Texas is cold and holds some of our very chilliest days of the year. Right now though? After that groundhog predicted an early spring, we’ve had much warmer days and this week highs in the 70’s!
Needless to say, while I’m holding out for ONE snow day {EVERY winter I need just ONE!}, in the mean time I’ve busted out some spring stripes! I’ve recently added these three tops to my closet…
This neon pink/neon coral striped sweater is absolutely perfect for these warmer spring days. The color SCREAMS warmer temps while the material still provides a little added warmth. I sized up to a medium because I’m not a fan of a tight sweater. It kind of does a natural little front tuck all on it’s own but I paired mine with these jeans {in a 27, I probably could have gotten a 26 but I’m thinking after I dry them they’ll be just fine}.
Another angle with my head turned again! ha! It’s been a while since I’ve taken some clothing selfies! Apparently, I need some practice!
Sweater, jeans, sandals….{I bought my sandals last year and wore them all summer long. I noticed this year there’s a “steal” version}.
My kids elementary school, high school, and one baseball team are all navy as a color. When I found this navy/white sweater, I was pumped! I sized up because it is a little more cropped. I grabbed the medium and love the added length it gives me. It has a fun texture, cute sleeves and again adds a little extra warmth on cool mornings/late nights.
I have the same pair of jeans on with my sandals {steal version}.
This striped top is the most casual of them all but there’s something to be said about a great navy/white stripe tee. Once again, it’s cropped so I sized up. A long torso’d girl must size up on the cropped options always. ha! Online this color is called “greystripe” but it’s totally navy. It also comes in two other colorways both perfect for spring!
Just yesterday I was in major need of doing a few loads of my own laundry and I wore a shirt that was almost too short to the gym. I’m not a show-my-stomach-in-clothes-really kind of girl {minus maybe a beach vacation where I’ll bump into not a soul I know and that’s a big maybe!}. When I was lifting arms, my shirt exposed my stomach and well, I was mortified! So I’ll ALWAYS size up on a cropped shirt. Always!
Jeans are the ankle length so a good length for a spring jean and will be cute paired with sneakers or sandals this season.
I’m a color girl all year long but especially in the spring and summer months! I’m agreeing with the groundhog right now…looks like spring is coming!
XO
I love a short sleeve sweater and stripes are such a fun pattern!

Me too! Short sleeve sweaters can be worn so often in Texas!
YES! Love all of the stripes. The striped pink and coral sweater is my favorite!
I love the color combo too!
The high today is 80! I’ve never seen Punxsutawney Phil more accurate!
That groundhog did it RIGHT this year!
I love that there is a basketball in your fancy chair! That’s real life.
We just can’t have nice things! There’s always some sort of basketball, baseball bat, etc. around!
