Today is a big day in our house. Today my oldest baby turns FIFTEEN YEARS OLD! Ebby Lee is FIFTEEN! My heart has all the feels! She was the guinea pig {and still is} in so many ways for Tab and I as the oldest child. She’s super responsible, always down to help {with barely a teenage grunt}, is a hard worker, loves her friends, and I’m just so thankful I get to be her mom.
This past year has been a HUGE one…FRESHMAN in high school. She’s handled it so well with lots of grace, determination, and hard work.
I’d love to tell all of you moms with younger kids everything you’ve heard before…the days are long but the years are short, it goes by so fast, and don’t worry about the house/chores but snuggle those babies. Everything is so very true. I loved all the stages so far, but this might be my favorite.
However, there are moments when I catch a glimpse of her and all I see is this sweet little thing.
She’s got the kindest, caring spirit, she knows more about make-up + skincare than I even do now at the age of forty, she loves all things Cincinnati Bengals {too funny that this stuck}, she’s a cheerleader which means her school spirit runs deep, she’s courageous, she’s brave, she loves a girly show like no other, and she got her mama’s love of Mexican food + sushi.
Ebby Lee, we’re so very proud of you! And can’t wait to see what this year holds! We love you, BIG!
