Paris 2025-Day One

Happy Wednesday!

EEEEK!!! I’m so excited to share this first recap with you! This trip has been a long time in the making. Ebby Lee has asked for years and years to visit Paris, but it just never made sense…until now! She turns sixteen in less than a month and since Nixon is playing high school baseball this year his Spring Break was non-existent. Tab and I discussed and decided it was the perfect year to do something a little special for Ebby Lee while Tab stayed at home with the others. We invited my mom to make it a fun girl’s trip and we were off…

I pulled her out of school a bit early on Friday to finish packing and head to the airport.

We landed on Saturday morning, checked into our hotel early {we stayed here}, and got freshened up for a fun first day of exploring Paris. My vest, white long sleeve, jeans, and crossbody.

Our first stop was to pop into a cafe to grab a quick bite…and let me introduce you to the croque monsieur. ha! It was the most delicious ham and cheesy sandwich.

When in Rome, but in this case…when in Paris, I thought the French Onion Soup was a must.

We were SUCKERS for a cute cafe and this city didn’t disappoint. I got lots of questions about where Ebby Lee got her coat and have no fear, we have you covered. It’s this one. The week of our trip she decided she needed a coat that was more “Paris” so Amazon delivered.

We were also suckers for any greenery situation. 🙂

Ebby Lee’s coat + My coat

We had tickets to visit the Louvre that afternoon. This was the spot that felt the busiest during our entire stay. There were lots of people, lines, etc. We had tickets with a designated time so we hopped right in line and were in pretty quickly. Please note the guy to our right standing on that stool to get the right angle pic. ha! My glasses are these and I actually broke them while were there but I already ordered another pair.

The most popular item in the entire museum. Everyone wanted a peek at Mona.

And there she is. 🙂

Do we look like we’ve been asleep on a flight and are a bit tired here? Because we were. ha! We spent a little more time checking out the museum before we were off.

But not before we took one last pic and then…

started a new tradition of needing a coffee or hot chocolate with a Nutella crepe on the daily.

We did a little more strolling before our dinner reservation and stumbled upon Moulin Rouge.

Pretty doors are always a must. At this point, I’d been taking enough pics with a teenage girl that my lean and leg pop were on point. 😉

This was our #1 dinner spot of the entire trip…Pink Mamma! If you’re headed to Paris, the three of us would tell you to make your reservation now! Our reservation was at 6:00 p.m., which is early for a dinner in Paris and also happens to be when the restaurant reopened for dinner. We had no idea that when the restaurant opens at 6:00 that the wait staff all dance around, they play loud music, when they seat everyone waiting outside everyone’s dancing and just having a REALLY good time. The atmosphere is adorable, food is great, and more but that little dance party to our seat was extra fun. Keep that in mind if you can make a 6:00 work during your trip! We were seated at the top floor and it was PRECIOUS!

Look how cute with those gorgeous windows…

It was DARLING!

Seriously, our FAVORITE dinner spot!

See what I mean? The wait staff made everything extra fun too.

This burrata, tomato, olive oil appetizer was THE BEST! Ebby Lee and I are still talking about it.

We shared the truffle pasta and truffle pizza. I’m telling you-DELISH!

It was THE perfect first day in Paris!

We got back to our room knowing it was gonna be a hard day to top. Spoiler alert…but we later thought we might have done it. 😉

Thanks for reading today, friends!
