Our Halloween

I must start this off by saying the forecast for our Halloween was cool, rainy, and just yucky.  At one point, it was supposed to be raining almost all day.  I kept myself stoked on the outside for my kids, but was kind of thinking it’d be a dud of a night.  We’d trick-or-treat real quick at a couple houses to say we did it and call it a night.  But I should have had faith like Ebby Lee, who told me she prayed about the weather and it would be fine.  The weather was amazing!  It was a cool day, so it felt like FALL.  It sprinkled/rained just a bit and was over in plenty of time to have a great Halloween night.

This was our Halloween…
Britt and I started off the morning at therapy.  This is Mrs. Julie, who is AMAZING!  I could hear these two trick-or-treating in the office.

Then it was time for Bowen’s preschool Halloween party!  He wore his costume to school, but got too hot so he ditched it.

All the Halloween party essentials were there…toilet paper {for mummy wrapping}, sprinkles, and all the icing!  Party success!

We tried to take a group picture…it didn’t really work.

We got the big kiddos from school, made sure the house was clean, and got dinner ready.  This soup was on the menu and was perfect for a cool fall night.  G and M came over for dinner and then they stayed at our house to pass out candy.  We had friends coming over to trick-or-treat and they were gonna hold down the fort while we were out.

Sisters!

I mean….blogger fail with the truck in the background!  haha!

Indiana Jones was mad about having to wear a costume so that explains his face.  πŸ™‚

Marla showed up looking ALL KINDS OF GOOD!  The witch with a candy fairy.

The ladies with the kiddos…Ebby Lee’s expressions compared to Nixon’s expressions are making me laugh.

Tab got out of the whole costume thing this year, but he’ll be back in the game next year.

These girls showed up and my costume made sense.  Prior to these two arriving everyone who saw me, looked at me a bit confused.  This might be my favorite costume combo ever!  Shay, Meagan, and I were the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus.

Our friends arrived for a fun night of trick-or-treating and I had to get a picture of these two cute witches.

I looked around and my heart almost burst…the boys were playing football, the little girls were all chatting, and I just had a moment.  #emotionalmommoment

This cute Panda was already on her first treat of the night.  She is a big fan of a lollipop and I believe she had five!  She was a big ole sticky mess by the end of the night, but she had a great first Halloween.  We got lucky on this costume, it kept her warm all night!

Frenchie even got to trick-or-treat with us!

I mean…this Moana stole the show!

And one more because she’s so dang cute!

Our crazy crew for the evening…Happy Halloween!

And one more of these just because.

Then it was time to go and my view pretty much looked like this the rest of the evening…running kids making a blur.

I had so much fun with these girl friends of mine.  And the rest of my people did too.  Bat Girl and the Sanderson sisters…not a combo you’d see everyday!  ha!

Can you spot Bowen and Ashby trick-or-treating?

Wanna know why this girl was smiling?

She was experiencing her first ever Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and she was a big fan.  πŸ™‚

We seriously had the best day and Halloween night.  It was full of fun, family, and friends.  Happy Halloween Everyone!

XO

The grandparents hold down the fort at our house as well, but Mimi definitely didn't show up in a spooktacukar costume. Way to go Marla! Looks like a great night for everyone.
