Lumberjack & Jill, 10 years, and Easter…

This weekend we had an action packed weekend planned in Missouri. We TRIED (notice I said TRIED) to leave early enough to surprise my mom at school on Thursday. We left our house with everything in tow at 5:00 a.m.!! After the dvd player not working (tragic), we stopped to try to get another adapter. It still didn’t work. So, we stopped and bought a new dvd player. The new one didn’t work. We stopped again to try to fix the fuse in my car for the cigarette lighter. The guy said that all looked fine. But…the new and old dvd players still weren’t working. I finally crawled into the very back and plugged it up in the trunk area. It started working!! Meanwhile…it’s pouring down rain. And…Tab is saying that he thinks he needs to go to the hospital because his stomach is hurting so badly. (Mind you he drank a WHOLE bottle of Pepto on the way…and we’re only in to the 10 hour trip about 2 hours…but he doesn’t think there’s anything strange about that??) After ALL of that…we arrived in Missouri!! We didn’t make it to school…but they were still excited to see us.

Grandpa and Grandma Hency came right over to see us too. These kiddos were SO excited to be out of the car!!

Friday…we had a birthday party!! Our theme was “Lumberjack & Jill”….so we decorated with plaids and burlap. I thought it turned out super cute.

Ebby Lee is 2 and Nixon is 1!

Boo made yummy bbq sauce for our party favors. Camden and Baby Brynn got some treats too! Our balloons almost didn’t make it through the party. They were struggling!! ha! We completely removed almost everything in my parent’s basement and had the party downstairs.

Slaughter family

Grandma and Grandpa Hency…check out their plaid!! They did GREAT dressing for this party!

T-Nonnie & Boo…thanks so much for all your help and hard work!

Aunt Kelly was teaching Ebby Lee how to use this harmonica. We can’t wait!! We’re counting down the days until Uncle Jared and Aunt Kelly’s big day!!

1 & 2… Look at all these presents!!

Uncle Jared probably didn’t mean to get in this…ha!! This was our food table…we had baked beans, bbq sliders, french fries (my kiddos favorite food), corn on the cob, and smore cupcakes for dessert. It was delish!

Lindsey, Whitney, & Curt getting their plates.

Sweet Camden was enjoying his food.

Birthday Boy

Birthday Girl

Both sets of my grandparents came to enjoy the party.

Lots of friends and family came to celebrate with us. It was crazy storming outside so it was so sweet of everyone to come out in that. My kiddos had a great time and it was so good to see everyone!

Cupcake Time

Brynn and her favorite Auntie Erika

We got to meet sweet baby Brynn!! She is so precious!! She was so good and dressed SO fashionably. I’d been waiting too long to get my hands on that baby. She is adorable!!

Present Time

My kiddos were spoiled rotten!! They got so many cute clothes, fun toys, puzzles, and so on. Nixon even got a fun trike! Thank you so much everyone!

The party was a great time!! It might have been hailing outside, but we were all partying safely downstairs in the basement! Thank you so much everyone for celebrating our birthdays with us!

Saturday…was a big day too! It was my 10 year class reunion!

Ebby Lee and Nixon hung out with T-Nonnie & Boo.

Handsome little guy

Carrie, Erika, Sam, Pam, Amber, & Brad

We were planning on meeting at the park with all of our kiddos and spouses. But…it was raining, so that was cancelled. We met up that night at a restaurant. I graduated with 11 other people…so we had a 50% turn out. Not bad huh? ha! It was great to see everyone and to catch up.

Coach Ford (basketball coach), Carrie, Erika, Sam, Pam, Amber, Brad, and Coach Garner (volleyball coach)

We also invited our class sponsors to join us for the evening. They don’t do this anymore, but when I was in school…we went on a school sponsored senior trip. So…for 7 days these guys (and their wives) spent their time supervising us in Florida. We have tons of great memories with them.

Just the girls…

Sunday…Easter!!

The Easter bunny came and left these by the front door.

Family pic before church.

Nixon-Man and Grandma…we went to Grandma’s after church for a yummy lunch.

Nurse Lindsey practiced on this patient.

This little guy started taking steps while we were there. He could only take a couple before falling down, but he’s getting so close.

Curt & Lindsey(Super cute and recently engaged!!) asked Ebby Lee something very special!! They asked her to be their flower girl in their wedding in July 2012!! It was so sweet that they were thinking of her. She was so excited-well I was so excited…ha!!

Congratulations to this sweet couple! Her ring is gorgeous! We’re so excited for you and Ebby Lee will be practicing.

We had a great trip to Missouri and are looking forward to our next trip when Uncle Jared and Aunt Kelly get married!!
