Let me tell you-I never realized how much I enjoy a night in until COVID. Granted 2020 gave me a few too many nights in, but I learned to really appreciate a cozy quiet night in with my people. So, this topic was nice and easy for me.
My perfect night in would include…
My five favorite people in the world. And of course, if it’s the PERFECT night in, then they’re all getting along, no one is fighting with anyone and what I suggest for dinner everyone celebrates. It’s kind of a dream night, right?
For dinner, we’d order in Mexican food from one of these places…Lupe’s Tortillas {they have a great at-home fajita pack for the local girls}, Anamia’s {the closest to the house so the go-to order in option}, Mi Cocina {my absolute FAVE in the area}, or Gloria’s {the new one in McKinney is so good}.
When I mention what we’re ordering for dinner the kids’ replies would all be, “Oh YAY! Great choice, Mom! We don’t need Chick-fil-A on a Friday night” Because we’re still living in my dream world. 😉
Also, after dinner my four children will all pitch in voluntarily to handle the clean up of dinner…including wiping down the counters and sweeping the floor.
I’d be wearing a comfy lounge set like this one. Similar options can be found, but mine is sold out.
YES! Definitely dressed like this for my perfect night in.
I forgot to mention-if we’re staying in, then I prefer it to be pouring rain outside. Let’s pretend that’s happening too? M’kay?
Our entertainment for the evening would be a good 90’s or 2000’s movie that has an emphasis on romance but is still kid friendly. These are a few we’ve watched over the last few months. Followed by me crawling into bed before 10:00 p.m. {Remember that whole perfect night and all? Just to be clear if we’re talking perfect WEEK day then I’m shooting for in bed by 9:00 p.m.}. I’ll read a few chapters of a great book. And then everyone will be fast asleep by 10:30. That is THE perfect night in in my world.

is it ok that a perfect night in is when the kids go to a friends house and the hubby and I binge Yellowstone 😛 bout to start season 3!!!! eeeekksss show has my HR up every single episode!!!!!
