And just like that, this guy turns EIGHT!
Nixon Talbot Slaughter was born eight years ago today. And it takes me back to THE DAY {it was Tab’s birthday-August 10th} I was holding my four-month-old baby {Ebby Lee}, feeling a little “off”, and it hit me I should take a pregnancy test. You guys…it said, “POSITIVE”. I was in shock. I mean. I had a FOUR MONTH OLD BABY. And I was four weeks pregnant. We had some crazy moments in there, but I’m so glad Nixon Slaughter arrived to the show when he did. I’m so thankful for him.
I’m totally allowed to have a little “Mom Brag” moment. Right?
He’s just a really cool kid!
Nixon {I’m pretty sure I say this every time I talk about Nixon} is ALL-BOY. He prefers being outside playing some kind of sport {even the ones he makes up}.
Football, baseball, basketball, kickball in the street are all his jam. He is a big Dude Perfect fan and has hit the stage where he enjoys watching old baseball or football games. {I should add here that Tab loves this stage but the rest of us are like…not an OLD game!!}
I can’t even begin to describe to you the love Nixon Slaughter has for his baby sister. I knew he’d be a fan once he met her, but you guys….she has him wrapped around her finger in ways I didn’t even know possible. It is the sweetest thing to watch.
He keeps me laughing with his quick wit.
And he makes an unbelievably cute George Washington. 😉
