Friday Favorites

 Hey Friends!

I’m joining my girls, Andrea and Narci, to bring you our Friday Favorites.  It’s been a while since I’ve done a “What’s been going on” type post so that’s what I’m sharing today.  🙂

We’ve had a great BIRTHDAY WEEK in our house!  We celebrated Ebby Lee’s birthday last weekend at Great Wolf Lodge, enjoyed her real birthday with a fun dinner out, had a special birthday dinner with Nixon last night, and plan on partying it up {thanks to Andrea’s recommendation} with his friends on Saturday night.  Whew!  And then I hope I go to bed really early.  #momgoals

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a cuter George Washington.  🙂  Last week was the Living History Museum in Nixon’s second grade class.  He chose George Washington {I’m certain every baseball player was taken or he would have chosen a bit differently.}, researched all about him, and then prepared a speech to recite at the “museum”.

He did GREAT!

He is NOT a fan of dressing up or wigs so I was crazy proud he wore this.

Britt and I have been making a whole lot of silly faces.

And STILL working on our speech.  One night this week in the bathtub she had bubbles, she pointed and totally unprompted said, “Pop”.  I went crazy!  She’ll probably never say that word again.  ha!

The picture is a little blurry but Ebby Lee got these shoes for her birthday from my parents.  She’d REALLY been wanting them so she was pumped!

Every once in a while if I have a lot of work to do I go up to the gym to work for a bit so Britt can play in the childcare while I get lots accomplished.  At the moment, our gym is under construction so I found myself sitting on the floor working, BUT I did find a breakfast taco so win-win.  🙂

We had donuts bright and early on Ebby Lee’s birthday, sang-“Happy Birthday”, and sent them off to school on sugar highs.

After school and volleyball practice, she requested Cheesecake Factory for dinner.

This kid.  He’s a mess.  He had tee-ball practice and right before it was time to load up he said, “Mom, sometimes in practice the coaches are yelling-RUN FASTER, and they don’t realize I’m running as fast as I can.”.  I laughed and laughed because we all know that feeling.  Right?  Every workout class. #bowenproblems

I should start keeping a running list of those #bowenproblems for a post all in itself.

I’m wrapping up this post on Thursday afternoon.  We’re heading out for hibachi to celebrate NIXON TURNING 8!  But, I’ll have interviews and Nixon’s party recap up next week.

Have a GREAT weekend!
XO
