Can you BELIEVE today marks Thanksgiving Break around our town?? We’re excited about this weekend for one big reason…DISCIPLE NOW!
Disciple Now is a weekend where students in grades 6-12 are separated into groups (of the same age), they all stay in a host home (that’s US!), and have meals provided by amazing cooking coordinators. Each home has a leader and throughout the weekend they study the Bible and really dig deep. Have I mentioned they aren’t allowed to have their cell phones or watch tv? So imagine your high school student getting ten hours of Jesus instead of the Kardashians (or whoever high schoolers watch? I don’t know?). Add in some crazy fun games, one awesome night of praise and worship, and an amazing speaker…it makes for a GREAT weekend! We’re excited about hosting a group of 7th grade girls at our house! This weekend is gonna be a FAVORITE for sure. 🙂
Shay encouraged me to try this Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream and oh my goodness am I glad she did!! Back in the spring, I had a Keratin treatment done on my hair. It really made a huge difference taking some of “the bulk” out of my hair? For instance, after blow drying prior to the Keratin, I’d have a frizzy head of hair. But after the Keratin, I could blow dry my hair and do nothing else to it. No straightener. No curling iron. Nothing. This styling cream also helps take out some “bulk”. My treatment has definitely worn off and I can tell a huge difference when I use this cream. If you have any clue what I’m talking about with the frizzy and “bulk”, you should try it. It’s my new FAVORITE!
I got to celebrate with my FAVORITE two-year-old turkey yesterday at school.
Check out his thankful tree….thankful for thunderstorms, Ms. Beverly, creepy things, dinosaurs, and Daddy’s football game??? WHAT?! Laughing at this tree was a FAVORITE moment!
I can’t wait to show you the transformation!! This was our dining room before we moved in…we’ve changed the walls, light fixture, and of course have put our own little flair on the room with our furniture. Getting a room “completed” is a FAVORITE!! We’re ALMOST there!!
Do not go inside an Old Navy anytime soon or you might leave with a bag full of comfy lounging clothes. They make them all look so comfortable and cute!! Every picture has SNOW in it. SNOW?? Seriously…the pictures will make you think you need some fleece pants with a sherpa hoodie! These waffle-knit leggings were one of my FAVORITES of the day!
I’ll make sure to share our adventures this weekend with a house full of thirteen year old girls!! 🙂
