Friday Favorites-Halloween Dinner Edition

Happy Friday!

I’ve teamed up with my girls, Andrea and Narci, to bring you Friday Favorites.  🙂

My post today is gonna look a little different.  Typically, I highlight a random assortment of my faves from the week, but today I have one big favorite.  I hosted a little Halloween dinner for a group of some of my favorites.  This group of girls gets together twice a month {have been doing this since before I had Ebby Lee!} and instead of signing up to host at my house, I decided I’d rather throw a little Halloween dinner party.  I had the dinner at Harvest, a fun little spot on the square.  {I should add-the girls I worked with from Harvest were AMAZING!  I dropped off a few things that morning and they did everything to get the room and table ready!}  For the menu, I decided on salads and all finger foods.  We had a wide variety from deviled eggs, pimento cheese dip, and ribs to shrimp and dirty rice on little baguettes.  {Who knew dirty rice tastes SO good on baguettes?}  The ladies all came in costume and we really had a great night!

The table was looking so pretty when we arrived.  🙂

I seriously dropped off twine, party favors {hard to see in the picture because it’s so dark but they were finger nail polish}, and those plastic spiders.  The Harvest crew added all the cute little details.

We arrived to deviled eggs and that pimento cheese dip.  YUM!

SO TASTY!

A wide range of guests were in attendance…Christmas tree, Deb {from Napoleon Dynamite}, a couple super heroes, Ginger Spice, a pirate, and two of the Sanderson sisters.

Let’s be real…we could have been hanging out in a field and had just as much fun.  {However, we’d have missed those ribs just a teeny, tiny bit! ha!}  Our nights together are all about encouraging each other, listening to each others struggles, and simply being there for one another.  But a night out that looks a little different is special too.

Deb went home with the grand prize for her costume.  😉

And a silly one was needed FOR SURE!

That’s the look I was going for in the picture above.  I didn’t QUITE achieve it!  ha!

P.S.  I think the sign of a good night is when your wig is falling off before 9:00 p.m.  Right?  A few of our group were out of town or had other plans and they were greatly missed!

This group of girls has learned not to take great friendships for granted.  Love your people big, friends!  And that’s just what we did in wigs and scrunchies on Tuesday night.  🙂

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!
XO
