Friday Favorites-Britt’s Birthday Edition

Happy, Happy Friday! Hope you guys had a great week and as soon as the last Slaughter kid is out of school today we’ll officially be on THANKSGIVING BREAK! We’re out of school all next week to celebrate Thanksgiving so we have plans to head to Missouri to see the fam!

In true Friday fashion, I’ve teamed up with Andrea to share some of my Friday Favorites from the week. This is mostly an edition of Britt’s Birthday FAVES. 🙂

On Thursday evening {last week}, we invited 6 girls to come over to the house to celebrate Britt’s birthday. It was an art party theme complete with canvas painting, face painting, and a caricature artist {kind of}.

I grabbed a Chick-fil-A nugget tray, fruit, and chips for the girls to have an easy dinner and we added some decor to the kitchen.

Birthday girl had the BEST time!

It was loud, wild, a bit chaotic, and there were lots of laughs which is everything a birthday party should be. Right?

My friend, Shanna, came to help and OH my WORD-I don’t know what I’d have done without her! She’s one of Britt’s {and Madeley’s} FAVORITE people!

Two cuties after a night of celebrating!

Saturday morning Bowen’s flag football team snagged first place in the championship game! Always a FAVORITE way to spend a Saturday!

This team has been playing together for years and next year they’ll move to tackle so it was kind of an end of an era.

Right after football, I took Nixon to his Middle School Matchup baseball tournament. It’s a local tournament where they “match up” kids from the same middle schools to play other middle schools. Our middle schools here don’t have baseball so typically the kids aren’t playing baseball with many school friends which always makes this tournament a fun one. He played in the afternoon and again in the evening and won both games! But I’m missing a pic…womp, womp. My FAVORITE way to spend a Saturday is watching my kids do things they love though so I was living my best life.

Sunday was Britt’s actual birthday so after church we made our way to the COWBOYS GAME!

Britt is THE easiest and always has the best attitude so when I snagged tickets for her birthday she was pumped!

Living her best life!

Lots of special guests were in attendance! Like President George W. Bush!

This girly had a great day! Pom poms, refillable popcorn, lots of screaming and dancing…her FAVORITE way to spend the day.

See what I mean?

We had a BLAST!

A Cowboys win made the day even better! {EL was at a cheer competition and Tab was at his own football game in Tampa.}

Happy Friday, Friends!
