TODAY IS THE DAY! The Slaughter Six have been talking and referencing this day for over a year and well, it’s a great feeling when the day finally arrives! Slaughter family summer vacation starts NOW! I’d love for you to follow along with our adventures via Instagram. I’m a terrible IG sharer in my everyday life because most of the time I think-who would want to hear about my every day? Granted I love my life and days but there’s nothing special about it. I’m carpooling kids, doing laundry, working, etc. I tend to go radio silent on “the Gram” simply because I’m living life just like you guys are. And there doesn’t seem to be a lot of content in that. {I feel like there’s a biblical lesson in what I just said. Beth Moore would turn that into something great, I’m sure.}. However, my whole intent for this space is to bring a little joy and light to your day so I do need to be doing that over there as well. It’s basically my new school year goal so this vacation will help me kickstart that. :). You can follow along right here!

Yesterday, I shared a list of things I’m checking off to get everyone school ready. One thing Ebby Lee always wore with her summer dresses to make them dress code appropriate was a little denim vest. It was my FAVORITE way for her to wear many more clothes to school. This item can turn any spaghetti strap dress school appropriate. :). I found a couple for you…option #1, option #2, or option #3. Britt already has one in her closet!

Please excuse my random closet picture. Currently, it’s the only full-length mirror in the house. But I have a FAVORITE skirt to share. In person, this looks more bright coral with navy blue. I paired it with a denim shirt and wore some flat sandals. I’m in my typical size but if you’re in between I think you can size down.

I got a little peek of a new FAVORITE space this week. Ebby Lee’s bathroom is coming together and it’s going to be so cute!
