Friday Favorites-6.3.22

Happy, Happy FRIDAY!

Two weeks into summer already?! That doesn’t even sound right! Andrea and I are breaking down some of our FAVORITES from the week. Each week we invite you to join us by sharing some of your FAVORITES! This week my list is a look at what we’ve been up to and some of our FAVORITES as of lately…

Last week kicked off summer at the pool, which just happens to be our FAVORITE! The weather was amazing! We all got some tan lines to prove it and we had some great days hanging pool side.

Our neighborhood always has a party over Memorial Day Weekend. These ladies and I {along with our hubbies} hosted and managed to pull off an outstanding evening. Definitely a FAVORITE!

This guy ranks high on my FAVORITE list as well. πŸ˜‰ However, bright sun while taking a pic is not my favorite. ha!

The band did a great job, the food was so good, and the scenery was perfection! Fun was had by all!

This week Britt has been in tennis camp which has been her FAVORITE! She even got Camper of the Day on day one! She was pumped! Today wraps up her last day and I might have to get this girl into a program in the fall. Her hand-eye coordination is way better than her mamas.

Nixon asked back in March if he could sign up for our local swim team. None of my kids have ever been interested nor have I because early mornings for the first six weeks of summer sound rough, but he was really interested so I went with it. I signed him up, he was eager to start, and then day one happened to be cold, yucky, and he hated it. He pushed through over the last week {because possibly we forced him} and he placed fourth out of his age group at the first swim meet for the freestyle. Now I have absolutely no idea if his time was good, bad, or absolutely terrible, but the fact that he managed to shave eight seconds off his time since day one plus beat seven other boys in his age group made us celebrate big. Pushing through hard things wouldn’t quite be Nixon’s FAVORITE {YET}. haha! But he’s getting there. This is a conversation we had after the swim meet…

Me: “Nixon, aren’t you glad we made you keep going now after seeing how well you did in the meet?”

Nixon: “Mom, I wouldn’t go quite that far.”

Hahahahaha!

This weekend we have a full plate of two baseball tournaments, a flag football game, and a cheer social. It should be a good one! Hope you have a great weekend!
