Friday Favorites-5.10.24

You guys know my life is crazy and chaotic during football season-especially on the weekends when Tab’s out of town. I guess I’ve gotten used to him being home and helping this spring because he was out of town this week for work and the solo carpooling/dropping kids off/picking kids up…WHEW! It’s been A LOT! Needless to say I’m pumped to see Friday roll around. 🙂

I’m popping in to share some FAVORITES from my week with my girl, Andrea. We’d love for you to join us!

First up, this FAVORITE cutie had a Chick Presentation at her school I got to attend. Her class got to hatch chicken and duck eggs this spring. They learned about the development, how to take care of them, etc. and this week they presented all that information to their parents. They did an amazing job! And this was her-please hurry up with your pictures-face.

Another FAVORITE is her tennis skirt. Britt has her own sense of style…tomboy mixed in with a touchof girly and a headband or bow for good measure. The scalloped skirt is cute and comes in a cute pink and navy. I did size down with a 4/5. I ordered the 6/7 originally and it was way too long. Bonus-right now it’s on sale!

Post-dinner the three of us set out on Champ’s longest walk to date. And a little Dog Mom brag-we work on “sit” at home but it’s typically when I have a treat in my hand and he knows what’s coming. He’s been known to walk over to me and just sit without the command. BUT on this walk I was trying to get him to take a pic with Britt and I had no reward. Super impressed, huh? 😉

I’ve heard many people talk about this particular brand of cottage cheese, Good Culture. My local grocery store and Walmart both don’t carry this type but I snagged it from another grocery store and guys, I GET THE HYPE! It’s low-fat, is high in protein and the small curds {ugh, I know that sounded gross} make it EXTRA delish! Apparently, I’ve hit the age where I name specific brands of cottage cheese a FAVORITE from my week.

I’ve mentioned the 10 Things to Tell You podcast by Laura Tremaine before but this week’s episode was one of my FAVORITES. The episode was 10 Things She Learned From Her Mom and it was so good! So many of the things are great pieces of advice that we should all remember! You can listen to the entire podcast here. It was a FAVORITE from the week!

My Mother’s Day is gonna look a lot like this but should baseball end early I’ve told my people I want to celebrate with a game of pickleball. My FAVORITE way to get everyone together! If you’d like to give it a try, you could gift yourself this set of four paddles with balls. It’s a great way to be active and enjoy the competitiveness that is four kids-ha!

These are my very FAVORITE workout tanks! They come in SO MANY colors that are constantly changing. I just ordered a fun new yellow color for summer {but the pic won’t upload}. I wear a small in these tanks.

Check out this picture from YEARS ago! A FAVORITE…baby Nixon!! AWWWWEEE! But if you see Boo tomorrow, please wish him a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Happy Birthday Boo, we love you!

I hope you guys have the best weekend! See you on Monday!

YES to pickleball for the whole family! That’s a good idea – I’ll request that too :). Have you tried hand motions with Champ and sitting? When we started, we put the treat in our fist and our dog knew that if she sat we would reveal a treat. Then we started, sometimes, NOT having a treat in our hand. . .over time the fist is enough, sometimes we don’t even have to say “sit”. Just a thought, if you ever did sign language with your little ones, it works with the furry ones too 🙂
    Happy Mother’s Day to you!

I don’t know if you have a Kroger near you, but the Kroger brand cottage cheese is very similar and way cheaper! But I’ve heard that brand is super popular right now!
