Friday Favorites-4.4.25

Hey Hey! It’s FRIDAY!

Next week kicks off BIRTHDAY week in our house so I’m like a busy bee around here trying to remember to get ALL THE THINGS ready!

I’m popping in today with my girl, Andrea, to share some FAVORITES from the week!

First FAVORITE is a great fundraiser for McKinney Boyd Cheerleaders! As a mom of four kids, I’m a huge fan of any fundraiser that involves the kids doing the work! And this is such a good one! If you’re local to McKinney, consider ordering some eggs to be hidden in your front yard the night before Easter. You can wake up and your kiddos can go hunt for eggs you never had to hide! Plus it’s a way to support a local high school. Ebby Lee and her cheer friends would LOVE to help you out this Easter weekend!

A big FAVORITE is the Rangers game on Saturday evening. Bowen’s tournament schedule that day worked out perfectly for us to head straight from the ball field to Globe Life Field for another round of baseball. That’s Bowen…being too cool for my picture. BOYS!

Nixon and some of his baseball friends were in a different section. Can you spy them?

We sat right behind some family friends which made it extra special.

It was the perfect night for some Rangers’ baseball!

Speaking of baseball and FAVORITES…Bowen’s baseball team had another weekend of WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP!

These team battled back in the championship game from 0-6 to having a teammate hit a HOME RUN to walk it off! They got gritty and fought hard! Proud of them!

This little boutique has THE cutest tops for every season but especially spring. The bright colors are a FAVORITE!

Britt snapped this picture while I was making dinner….Champ a FAVORITE around our house.

This made me LOL!!! If you have a son or daughter who pitches, YOU GET IT! Just a joke, of course, but a FAVORITE!

On another note, I try to keep this little spot on the internet light, bright and mostly full of joy. I want you to leave here with a smile on your face. So much of what we see on the daily is hard but I want to take a little of that hard away with a bright spot. I know there are tragedies and terrible things on the daily and if I post one, I never want a reader to feel bad that I didn’t share something about a tragedy near and dear to them. Long story short, I’ve refrained from posting any big current events related news, but this one is just hitting me differently.

Maybe it’s the fact that I have my own high school students. Maybe it’s the fact that I have two brothers {not twins} who also look alike. Maybe it’s the fact that this particular track meet was less than eight miles from my house.

My heart has been broken for this family, for the twin brother, for the students at the track meet, for the students at Memorial High School, for the student who committed this terrible crime, and for the family of that student. Life is precious.

Hope you get to love your people extra this weekend.

XO

My family can’t get Austin and this tragic story out of our heads either. So many prayers for all of his family and loved ones. I cannot imagine the pain.

I hope everyone has a great birthday!
That fundraiser sounds so good. Such a fun thing to do.
The baseball sounds like great fun and well done to Bowen’s baseball team.
That is so sad about that young boy.
