Three Cheers for the WEEKEND!!
And just like that…April Birthday Week has ended. It was a good run! We celebrated both of our big kids turning 14 and 13 on Sunday and Wednesday plus they had parties last weekend so to say this mom is tired would be a bit of an understatement. We partied hard and Tab would say that I managed to squeeze every bit of birthday fun into the week I possibly could. hahaha! He’s positive when he was growing up he didn’t get to choose a special birthday breakfast, lunch and dinner. ha! I need to check with his mom!
In typical Friday fashion, I’ve teamed up with my girl, Andrea, to share some of my FAVORITES from the week!

My first FAVORITE was taking nine girls out to dinner to celebrate Ebby Lee on Friday night. I didn’t have a chance to ask everyone about posting so I just simplified. We went to Ida Claire’s in Addison and reserved the air stream to make it a little extra fun. Tab and I ate inside all by ourself while the girls enjoyed dining outside.

Then Saturday afternoon Tab and I hauled twelve boys over to Giant Party Sports in Parker {HIGHLY recommend this spot-I got the name from a friend} for some paintballin’. I had absolutely no idea what to expect but they played {is that the verb I should be using?} for three solid hours and were EXHAUSTED by the time we got back into our cars. I had pizza delivered on our way home so by the time we got back to the house Ebby Lee had set it all out. Those boys DEVOURED ten pizzas in no time flat! We had cake, sang, “Happy Birthday”, and they ended the evening playing basketball. The last of the boys left at nine and I’m certain by the time my head hit the pillow I was already asleep. ha!

Sunday morning we all went to church for our special Easter service and I took not a single picture! MOM FAIL! But I did snap a couple pics during the money egg hunt. We gave this one a fifteen second head start.

Before we let the rest of the crew go for it! A FAVORITE egg hunt for sure!

Did you see the latest round-up of what I’ve been wearing in my post yesterday? Many of these items are from my FAVORITE boutique. You can see them all in this post!

NO PICTURE but you should try it!
My kids are all fans of French Onion Soup so I took a couple recipes I found on Pinterest and merged them to make a French Onion Slow Cooker Chicken meal that was a new FAVORITE!
I placed four big chicken breasts in my slow cooker, then added two packets of onion soup mix, a can of French Onion Soup, a can of water, and two onions sliced. I let those cook all day and about 30 minutes before serving I put some gruyere cheese on each chicken breast.
I’m WEIRD about chicken. I don’t want it to just taste like chicken and this had THE BEST flavor! It was just like french onion soup and not chicken! We ate ours with green beans and salad. Next time I’ll add some baby carrots to the slow cooker and I think they’ll be a great addition. It was such an easy meal and everyone liked it!

This picture of my FAVORITE guy was taken a few years ago at one of his work conferences. This Sunday we leave for another one. Because I’ll be out of town, I’m going to take a little break next week so I won’t be blogging until Friday of next week. I’ll be back in just one week with a whole lot of FAVORITES from my week!
Thank you and have the best week!
XO

What a fun week! Have fun at the conference!

Man, mama! I bet you were partied out!!! But goodness those parties looked awesome.
It was a good week!
My kids have never looked better. 😉
Ha!
What fun to have 2 birthdays in a week. It looks like some fantastic celebrations. Happy birthday to them both. The paintballing sounds like so much fun but exhausting. Great photos.
YES! I agree!! And I wasn’t even playing! haha!
Whatever that van is with all the girls inside looks so cool! Happy Friday!
It’s an airstream trailer the restaurant has set up on their back patio area. Super cool!
Looks like a wonderful 13 & 14 celebration!
