Happy Friday, Friends!
I hope you’ve had a great week. It’s been busy, busy, busy at our house as it’s officially BIRTHDAY WEEK for Ebby Lee & Nixon! Add in a big track meet, traveling husband, softball game, practices, STAAR tests, suit shopping, physical therapy, and I’m looking forward to the weekend. 😉
As always I’ve teamed up with Andrea to share some FAVORITES from my week.
The BIGGEST FAVORITE of my week is the blessing of getting to watch this girl go from this…

to this…

Have you guys been watching American Idol? I haven’t been watching weekly but I intermittently catch an episode here and there. Did you see the episode last week that was songs of faith?! Friends! You must watch! I sang along, I cried, I laughed, I had all the emotions! It was so good! A FAVORITE episode for sure! This past week was songs of the 90’s PLUS some of our FAVORITE 90’s stars made appearances! You’ve gotta watch!

Prepare your hearts for the next fifteen months you’re gonna hear me say, “This is the LAST TIME she’ll…”. Every year a fundraiser for Ebby Lee’s cheer team is hiding Easter eggs in yards the night before Easter. This was her LAST TIME! Having fun with friends is one of her FAVORITES!

Anyone need a new delicious spring recipe? This Chicken Pasta Primavera was a family FAVORITE!! I substituted the asparagus for broccoli and my family gobbled it up! I typically am not making pasta in the spring but this was really fresh and light. A new FAVORITE! {It was so liked that 2/4 of my kids asked for leftovers in lunches the next day.}

A FAVORITE kind of Easter Sunday….when all my people are together in a pew. Our church had numerous cute backgrounds set up for pics but we bypasses those for the good ol’ concrete sidewalk and side of the church building. ha! We had a really chill Easter…church with the family, comfy clothes and lunch at Marla’s.

Another FAVORITE was spending my afternoon watching this tough group of junior girls play football in the Powder Puff Games on Wednesday. They might not have come out on top but they sure looked cute! The weather was also perfection which made it even sweeter!

I’m off to prepare my heart that this kiddo doesn’t look like this anymore. He turns SIXTEEN this weekend! Also, I have another book review ready to go but I’m going to combine it with my April books. I read some GOOD ones in March!
Have the best weekend, friends!
XO
