Friday Favorites-3.24.23

Hey Hey Hey! It’s FRIDAY! We’ve had a pretty chill week around our house. The typical practices and such still happened but nothing extra exciting. This weekend a miraculous thing is happening…both of our boys’ baseball teams have the weekend off! Shocking? Yes! And also it’ll be the weekend we rest, recharge, and get some things checked off that to do list. Since we’ve “moved back in”, we haven’t had an entire weekend of time to get things accomplished so that’ll be nice!

*Edited to add-Tab texted me while I was working on this post to remind me he’d signed Bowen up for a football tournament this weekend. BAHAHAHAHA! Scratch that entire paragraph above! When I reminded him of our Saturday plans he said, “But that’s just what we do”. So we’re gonna have to get some things checked off our list in between football games. 🙂

Friday here in blog world means one thing-I’ve teamed up with my girl, Andrea, to share some of my FAVORITES from the week!

First up are EASTER goodies! A little friendly reminder it’s right around the corner, we should all get to ordering so we’ve got that checked off our to-do list. I have some adorable finds for the girls in your life today…

Friends, if you like okra, TRY THIS STAT!! This lightly breaded air fryer okra tastes so much more like the home grown okra my mom used to fry every summer. It has just a bit of corn meal with seasonings and cooks up perfectly in the air fryer! My new FAVORITE side! This brand also has a cauliflower and asparagus option but I haven’t tried those {yet}.

Open House at our local elementary school was this past week and my FAVORITE kindergartener got to show me all around. It was the SWEETEST!

Did you see my FAVORITE color of the season? I ordered a few of these items and can’t wait to share when they arrive. 🙂

You can see all the items in my post from Wednesday!

*************************

I got some questions about this FAVORITE romper I packed for our Dominican Republic Spring Break. It’s this romper right here and I sized up because {LONG TORSO}.

If you have dry hands like me, let me share my new FAVORITE accessory. hahahaha! It’s the TRUTH though! These gloves SAVE my dry hands!

I hope you guys have the very best weekend with your people! I’m off to get my work finished so I can enjoy a football game tonight. Happy Weekend, Everyone!

Speaking of gloves, I have to wear them anytime I wash dishes or clean. I have suffered from hand eczema for several years. Do you have an eczema update? Did you find any products that helped? 😀

Ashley, does this only happen to you in the winter {PLEASE tell me it’ll clear up soon!!}?? I got a steroid cream from the derm that created LOTS of little cuts on my hand which was probably more painful than the eczema itself. Then I got another cream that didn’t have a steroid so it was WAY better. Now my skin is super dry, still flaking and cracking a bit. But it’s a much improvement. How are yours? What are you using? Mine was so bad for a while that I told my husband I was gonna use those gloves in the shower!

My son has had eczema on his hands since preschool and while it flares up the worst in winter (like they will crack and bleed!) he finally saw some relief this winter with a prescription cream from the dermatologist that he mixes/combines with other creams. His favorites are the Dionis goat milk and something called corn huskers that one his teachers recommended. As long as he puts some sort of lotion on every day his hands stay pretty clear and at any sign of a flare up he turns to the prescription. He’s in culinary school so handling food and dishes is a must… and according to the dermatologist both are HUGE triggers.
