Friday Favorites-2.7.20

How’s it going at your house this Friday?

I THINK my house is healthy again.  I’m using that word loosely because when you have a big family anyone could go down at anytime.

Today, I’m sharing my Friday Favorites along with my girls, Narci and Andrea.  It’s a bit short and sweet over here.  It’s kind of been that way all week.  #thankyoustrepandflu

FAVORITE patients who had numerous appointments this week.
Britty’s shoes are here and on sale!

Talk about FAVORITES from the week?  This immune booster is on the top of my list!  A neighbor mentioned this to me and while it tastes absolutely awful, I’m happily taking it on the daily!  {I scored mine from Sprouts.}

This FAVORITE picture sums up our week around here.

Another FAVORITE?  Jessica Simpson’s new book, Open Book.  I’ve been listening on Audible while I work and I’m hooked.  Love getting a peek at the inside story of her life!  It also happens to be my first book on Audible.  I love listening to podcasts while I work so I think this just might be my favorite new thing EVER!

*Do you listen to Audible?
*Do you like memoirs and autobiographies more than other books on Audible because they read the book themselves?  Is that good/bad?  I think I’d have a hard time listening to a fiction book but since Jessica’s talking about her story, it keeps my attention.

I have my fingers crossed for a healthy week for my crew.  😉  And yours too!  Hope you have the best weekend!

I’ll see you on Monday!

It’s been a sick week at our house too. Where’s spring?!?!?!? I download audiobooks from the Libby app from my local library. I love it. I find it needs to be nonfiction or a thriller to keep my attention. I recently listened to Michelle Obama’s Becoming.

The Jessica Simpson book looks like fun!

The Linky says it has reached max number of participants. Is that a new thing?

Yes to loving memoirs on Audible because it's the person reading. I feel like I'm just having a chat with them! 🙂 I have a hard time listening to a fiction story on there.

I've listened to good memoirs from: Shonda Rhimes, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Drew Barrymore, Leah Remini, Kelly Corrigan, etc.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

I love Audible! My favorite times to use it are when I'm tackling a big project like cleaning out a closet, etc. Makes the time fly by. I also like it on car trips. My son and I drove my parents on a 26-hour round trip car ride, and for part of it, we listened to The Magnolia Story…everyone was happy! I am meeting a friend in another city in a few weekends and have downloaded a book just for that trip. Girl, Wash Your Face was the best as I loved listening to it in the author's voice. Highly recommend…I've found myself driving around my neighborhood before getting home during a great part of a book. I still love my Kindle or a real book, but Audible serves a great purpose as well.

I'm happy you are on the mend!

I love both fiction and non-fiction on Audible! The most important thing with fiction is to read the reviews of the narrators (and listen to the samples first). The narrator can make or break the fiction and there have been a couple of times I really regretted not reading poor narrator reviews before making a purchase. Otherwise though, the fiction is a nice escape while I'm driving, cleaning, doing laundry, etc.

I want to listen to the Jessica Simpson book now between your review and That Inspired Chick’s review! I’ve just started listening to audiobooks and prefer listening to nonfiction/autobiographies versus fiction. Andy Cohen’s books are really fun to listen to!

I listen to audiobooks every day when I’m cleaning or driving. I listen through Overdrive app since they are free!! I agree that the reader can make or break an audiobook! Listen to “ Cold Sassy Tree” which is hilarious! Elin Hilderbrand books are awesome on audio, especially if Erin Bennett is the reader!

You know this goes without saying but I'm Audible's #1 fan. 😉 I've got a post coming next week on some of my favorite autobiographies/memoirs! I love them!! But I also love a good British narrator for a rom-com chick-lit novel. Audible is my JAM.

The Kris Jenner book on audible was soooo good. She does not read it but the person that does actually sounds like her. Alot of insight about OJ an Nicole too.

Audible is the only way I do it! I have a long commute each day and I can listen while I do stuff around the house.
