Friday Favorites-2.12.21

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Every Friday, I team up with my girl, Andrea, to share my FRIDAY FAVORITES!  This morning I’m probably all wrapped up in a robe, a blanket, layers upon layers, or a big coat…all depending on what time you’re reading because it is COLD here in North Texas!  That leads me to my first FAVORITE

If you saw my post yesterday, that SNOW DAY wish came TRUE!!  Yesterday morning I woke up and thought there’s no way it’s cancelled because at my house I barely saw ice.  I happened to check our school’s website just to be sure and THERE IT WAS!  A snow day mid-week is definitely a FAVORITE!

A week or two ago when the weather was crazy nice, I ordered a few things that would be great in the spring but were also weather appropriate, could be worn under a cardigan, etc.  I scooped this peplum up with Valentine’s Day in mind {and later learned Room Moms aren’t allowed at the party 😂😂😂}.  Sharing the back first…more length in the back is nice!

A view of the front…it comes in many colors is a stretchy, textured fabric.  I sized up to a medium.

This top also comes in many, many colors and I’ll probably order another.  It’s a fun little batwing sleeve which makes it feel a little “extra” when you’re really just wearing a tee-shirt.  I can see this in the spring with jeans and summer with shorts.

This was an unexpected FAVORITE…a tie dye waffle knit top is what I’d call this one.  It’s a long sleeve on the lighter side but with those bright colors will be nice for cool spring days.  Comes in many colors but mine is the “tie dye multicolor” and I ordered my normal size.

Both of my boys are playing baseball for the same club so I’ve got my eye out for all the red, white, and blue this spring.  This tee is easy and also comes in many, many colors.  Mine is the “watermelon” in a small.

Amazon can have some of the best hits but trust me when I say-there were lots of misses in that order.

Have you heard that myth floating around about us moms wearing skinny jeans, using 😂😂😂, and parting our hair to the side means we’re old? {Notice I used the word, “myth”.}   For the pictures above I tried to part my hair down the middle and it looked ridiculous.

But this made me LAUGH!!!!

I’m bummed I wasn’t able to share this sooner, but this Valentine’s Day Kit from Big Memories Little Details is a FAVORITE from my week!

It’s a fun box filled with all kinds of goodies to make our Valentine’s Day more festive...from goodies to add to their school lunch boxes to minute-to-win-it games with supplies, to decorations, and treats it’s a perfect way to celebrate!  I’ve gotten asked over and over for family fun ideas at home and THIS BOX is it!  Big Memories Little Details has a St. Patrick’s Day box that is being released today or tomorrow so be on the look out for that if you’d like to add a little St. Patty’s Day fun at your house!  Also a great gift idea as well!

*************************

I don’t have a picture of this one but I ordered a pack of homemade egg noodles in my grocery order this week to use in chicken noodle soup.  I’ve never ordered a pack of homemade noodles.  To be honest, I usually get the whole wheat or whole grain but since Tab was out of town I threw caution to the wind.  And let me tell you-it’ll be so hard to go back!!  They were DELICIOUS!  Pasta isn’t my favorite thing but I LOVED these!  So here’s a little PSA from me to you…grab the homemade pasta pack the next time you’re at the store!  It’ll be a new FAVORITE!

*************************

One more thing-will you guys join me in praying for all of those people involved in the big pile up wreck in DFW due to the ice yesterday morning?  If you saw footage there were over one hundred vehicles involved, people were killed, and many were injured.  Praying for those families this morning.
XO

Two things: 1. I hope you're wearing that red sweater today! and 2. I agree with Sheaffer's comment. This doesn't make sense to me at all. Ha!

    Great shirt recommendations today-thank you!

Nothing is worse than being excited about an order from Amazon and it turns out to be a big fail.

Loving all those shirts! The red one looks amazing on you! The Valentines goodies look like a lot of fun! Wish I thought of that for my daughters class. But all they asked for was a box of candies or treats. Nothing fancy and we didn't have to write the names on it for the students. This COVID stuff really is changing everything. Usually I bring in cupcakes and make goodie bags. Nope. NOTHING could be open. Bummer.

Thanks for hosting the link up! I am a day late but thats okay 🙂

I love your tie-dye shirt! And I def disagree with Gen Z, haha. Skinny jeans are the best! And I remember getting my first pair in 2007 and feeling so ~scandalous~ hahaha. But I put them on and never looked back! The Gen Z kids are missing out! 😀
