Happy Happy Friday, Friends!
Dare I say Happy Friday the 13th?! That feels really wrong the day before Valentine’s Day! Anyway, I hope you’ve had a good week. We’re gearing up for spring with the weather we’ve been having lately! Track is starting {we have never done track but here we go…}, baseball is right around the corner, and my parents are arriving today for a weekend visit!
Friends, I want to share a little life update. This season of life has become extremely full {in the best ways possible} but also very busy. Between mom life, helping families plan magical vacations as a travel agent, being a wife, keeping up with the house, and spending a good chunk of my days in the carpool line or on the sidelines of games, my schedule is packed from morning to night. Lately, blogging has been pushed to the bottom of my to-do list and I’m working later and later into the evenings. I’ve realized that’s not where my priorities need to be right now. My family and the everyday moments with them come first, so I’m giving myself permission to step back from posting three times a week. I’m still here and still love this space, just needing a slower rhythm that fits this busy season a little better.
Seventeen years. I had to sit with that for a second because… how has it been seventeen years?! What started as a tiny online scrapbook…just a little piece of the internet so my Missouri family could keep up with our everyday life somehow became so much more! Somewhere along the way, this space stopped being “just a blog” and started feeling like a community. I’ve had the joy of “meeting” so many of you here, and you’ve become part of our story in ways I never could’ve imagined back then. We’ve added four children to our home {still wild to type that}, and so many of you carried us through those exhausting, holy-hard early days with your prayers. I will never stop being grateful for that. {THANK YOU!} We’ve walked through house moves, heartbreaking losses, a massive home renovation, vacations, infertility, prayer requests, and many moments of daily life…together. And that word matters. Together. Thank you for being here for all of it. Truly.
I’ll be here every Friday with a big post showcasing all the things—and with a title like FRIDAY FAVORITES, I can share whatever I want, Right? Some weeks, if I find a little extra time, I may pop in with an additional post, and I’ll be sure to mention it in that Friday Favorites. Be sure to check back each week! Who knows—this might be the pattern for a while, or life may open up more space again down the road. For now, it’s just a small step back. I hope you understand, and I truly appreciate you being here. Thank you! XO
Okay, let’s get to the fun with my FAVORITES from the week. Be sure to check out my girl, Andrea’s, FAVES as well!

I have some fun FAVORITES I’ve been wearing lately…leopard pants {similar} and black coat {similar}.

This top with the puff sleeves is great for fall, winter and spring!

I wore these track pants to Bible Study last week and got lots of compliments!

My kids have to be in the mood to talk but let me tell you I do my best to pry it all out of them. I sent them all this this week and hopefully, they understood! This is exactly how us Moms feel, right?! FAVORITE thing is hearing about their day and if they’re feeling chatty, well EXTRA bonus!

We have a couple work trips coming up for Tab that are warm weather so I like to jump on resort wear when I see any I like. How cute is this red/pink maxi? The necklace adds a little extra fun as well! Summer + COLOR=MY FAVORITE!

This blue maxi can be really dressed up or dressed down with some sandals.

This one screams, “BEACH”, doesn’t it?

This post is shaping up to be the longest Friday Favorites in history. :). Hope you’re still with me. My Girl’s Trip to Savannah was oh, so much fun last week! {Pics below} But as I was packing {deciding what to pack}, I snapped some pictures for you…

Our dinners were casual enough you could wear jeans with a dressy top and I did but I also packed the fleece leggings with these black leather shorts and boots. I couldn’t decide which top so I shared a few options….button up leopard.

Tie leopard top but I discovered while talking to Sheaffer she was taking the same top! So, I decided not to match her. {But this look is probably my favorite.}

Same tie top as the leopard but just in white. This is what I packed to wear.

I’ve had this sweater and love the fit…it’s on the shorter side with that cute scalloped edge detailing. It has big puff sleeves but then gets really fitted around the wrist. I added some brown suede shorts to my fleece leggings and boots for another night out.

I ALMOST threw this outfit in but thought I’d be too chilly!! New shirt {from WALMART!} and new shoes {also WALMART} paired with my old Colette jeans are a perfect spring outfit!

I wore this on the plane/once we arrived. Top, vest, and belt.

I LOVE this jacket {borrowed from a friend and it’s sold out, urg!} paired with flare black jeans.

Now to some FUN, Savannah pics…{these are all out of order but sharing here for my memories}

This group started with a Bible Study over seventeen years ago! Some people have left and new girls have joined but that’s where it all started…

One of the most fun things about this trip is every time we draw names for roommates. The hope is after eight years, we’ll all have roomed with everyone. Just makes it more fun to get to spend extra time together!

Savannah was SHOWING off with gorgeous weather while we visited!

We did a lot of shopping and eating while we visited.

ROOMIE pic…these two girlies were my roommates on this trip. We actually had two connecting rooms so we could all have our own bed. I haven’t stayed up that late in a WHILE! We’d girl talk until we were falling asleep…so much fun!

This pic is proof you prefer NOT to be the one with longest arms holding the camera! Bahahaha!

We did a ghost tour AND a food tour! Both were so unique and fun!

Our Savannah getaway was definitely a FAVORITE from my week!

This is SO random BUT I popped into CVS to grab some candy to go with the little Valentine gift I’d gotten each of the kids. I was choosing their favorite candies to put in their bags when I saw this. Dunkin’ Donuts BATTER filled chocolates? Um, WHAT?! I grabbed one for the house to test. You guys I had the Cookie Butter and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! If you’re reading this and have a CVS close, you should head there immediately! FAVORITE kind of afternoon treat!

Last but certainly not least, one of my FAVORITE internet turned real life friends WROTE A BOOK, Tiny Tweaks, Happy Life!! Erin at Simple Purposeful Living is one of my FAVORITE follows. She has great advice on how to make mom life easier! Often I find myself, “swallowing the frog”, like she recommends. Doing the hard thing first so then the rest seems easy. Erin and her husband adopted after we adopted Britt so we have that adoptive mom connection {and talked before they went to China}. I was so excited when she sent me her book and can’t wait to read! It’d make a GREAT gift for any mom in your life. If you don’t follow Erin, give her a follow. You’ll learn something, I promise! Thank you again, Erin! Can’t wait to read! XO

This was a ginormous post and they won’t always be this way but I had a lot to share this week. See you back here next Friday!
