Friday Favorites-12.10.21

I’m here with a holiday check-in.  How’s it going?  This week really amped up the hustle and bustle of the holiday season for us.  Concerts, tournaments, games, parties, and more are all happening now and it’ll be a slow jog to the finish line next week.  I found myself countless times this past week asking-does this really matter?  Am I adding unnecessary stress for no reason?  Sometimes the answer was “absolutely”.  Just a friendly reminder to check-in.  🙂

Today, I’ve teamed up with Andrea to share my Friday Favorites!  We’d love for you to join us!  If you don’t have a blog but have something fabulous to share post on your Instagram and tag us!  I’d love to see!  My list this week is all over the place but it’s basically a look at what’s on my mind now…a little bit of everything. 🙂

My first FAVORITE is this Crayon Melter.  Have you seen this?  Heard of this?  Britt got it for her birthday and this past week my dining room table has been the work space for all four kids at different times to use the Crayon Melter.  You plug it in, it melts crayons and creates almost a puff paint situation. My kids have used it all week long creating their favorite teams’s logo, drawing all kinds of things, and like I said-they’ve ALL used it.  From 6-12…if you need a gift idea.  This with a box of crayons!

This percussionist is another FAVORITE!  I’m not sure I’ve ever listened so intently to anyone play the sleigh bells but I did this past week.  What can I say Nixon slayed it?!  Get it?!  This concert was a FAVORITE from the week.  Getting to see this beginner band come together was absolutely shocking!  I’m sure it’s the equivalent of kindergarten students the first week of school just learning to stand in line.  I can’t imagine how beginner band sounded the first week of school, but they came together and all played a holiday song.  It was fun to experience!

Our elf, Sparky, is BACK!  Typically the elf on the shelf isn’t a favorite of mine, but a friend’s daughter sold elf kits this year to make our Sparky experiences so much easier.  So far Sparky arrived with donuts {as well as a super cute letter he typed}, he roasted marshmallows, and he was propped up on random things {because I can’t go all out in one year or they’ll know somethings up-taking it slow}.  This elf kit is a new FAVORITE!

The first day Sparky arrived Britt would walk by and say, “Sparky, I love you”.  Over and over again.  It was the sweetest thing and it reminded me why we go to all the elf trouble at all.  #worthit

These girlies of mine are another FAVORITE! One of Ebby Lee’s friends performed in the Nutcracker on Friday night.  Tab and I took just the girls out for a fun dinner and then the show.  Britty was looking extra cute and festive!  By the way, I got her outfit-top, plaid shorts, and tights as a set from H&M.  It was such a good deal.  You can check out all the cute Christmas clothes they have for little girls.

Super fun night celebrating friends!

One last FAVORITE for you-I’m working on another sweater post for next week and found a FAVORITE.  I’m just afraid if I wait to share until next week this Christmas-y themed sweater will be MIA.  Already I can’t find it online-here are the options from the same brand.  This is super soft sweater material and I sized up to an XL because I wanted to pair it with leggings.  I recommend checking out your local store.

Kid life-who used a beach towel to dry after they showered and left it hanging on the rail?  #twoguesses #eitherboywouldbeagoodguess

Tonight we have a super fun, festive evening planned and I’m really looking forward to it.  Tab’s been out of town for his weekly job the last few weeks so coupled with traveling for football on weekends it’s made for a crazy time.  He’s home this weekend and we’re excited to celebrate tonight.  We have sports the rest of the weekend but are all looking forward to doing it together.

I hope you have such a great weekend!  I’ll see you back here on Tuesday!

XO
