Happy, Happy Friday, Friends! I’m so sorry! I went MIA on you yesterday. I’ve been keeping all my travel agent/mom duties during the daytime and at night have been unpacking so I was just literally out of time yesterday. Thanks for coming back today to check out my faves though! As always, I’ve teamed up with Andrea and I have a list for you. These are some of my FAVORITE things from the past week…

First up one of my neighbors dropped off some Christmas flowers. SHE and the flowers are a FAVORITE! She said that she knew we wouldn’t have many decorations up inside because we’re busy moving in so she wanted to add a little festive to our house. Super sweet of her!

As moms we wear a lot of hats so while I’m President and CEO of attempting to get us all settled back inside as quickly as possible, I’m also the CEO of Christmas Fun. ;). Our Elf on the Shelf arrived over the weekend and brought each kid an advent calendar. The Body Shop for Ebby Lee, Christmas books for Britt, and I actually found these football advent calendars last year for the boys. They arrived way late, but I tucked them away and miraculously pulled them out this year. The fact that I found these in our current situation is REALLY impressive. Our elf always brings powdered donuts, chocolate donuts, and strawberries. They absolutely LOVE this breakfast….one of their FAVORITES! I woke up thinking I was absolutely KILLING it. Only for the boys to let me know….

The football advent calendars were completely empty on the inside.
Not.
Even.
Joking.
Nixon {who totally doesn’t believe in Santa anymore or the elf} laid it on a bit thick with why Sparky would bring them an EMPTY advent calendar. I thought on my feet and disputed that with, “Maybe this is a lesson Sparky is teaching you two about how you interact with each other…..” You can imagine the rest. Nixon got the point too. And *HOPEFULLY* it all went over Bowen’s head. I truly think he’s well aware but is staying silent for me. When he’s older I’ll thank him one day because I’m absolutely appreciate of the fact he’s pretending to not believe in Santa but he’s excited about the elf. Hmmmm…

I saw this K-Cup Advent Calendar all over the place but couldn’t get myself to snag it UNTIL Black Friday! The discount was a nice one! Note to self…it’s a fun little gift but wait for Black Friday and snag those babies on sale. It’s a FAVORITE little treat each morning this month.

Last weekend the kids, Marla, and I had tickets for a local church’s Christmas performance but before hand we tried out a new restaurant, Whistle Britches. The food was good, but the Christmas decor was great!

All kinds of garland, bows, and trees filled the restaurant. Super cute!

This girl was a fan!

It was our first time to see Prestonwood’s Gift of Christmas…absolutely magical!

We LOVED IT! Definitely a FAVORITE Christmas performance!

As crazy as it sounds one thing I was really missing about our house was being able to add fun little touches to spaces like festive Christmas soap and a fun holiday candle. FAVORITES!

One more quick thing that was a FAVORITE from the week…these CRACK GREEN BEANS! Do you ever feel like vegetables get boring? I sure do! So I tried to find a way to add a little green to our plates that tasted a little extra fun. This recipe delivered! Instead of cooking onions and bacon on the stove though-I used some bacon bits and mixed it all up in a bowl, added to the green beans and then stirred in the baking dish. I used three cans of whole green beans and next time will use four. We ate every single bite! If you wanna add a little more festive to your green beans, try this!

Last FAVORITE is the fact that each week we’re getting more and more settled. It’s been trickier than normal to move back in because the construction crew is still finishing many little things. We haven’t been able to move into our room, bathroom or closet yet so we’re taking up Bowen’s room {which then leaves his stuff in playroom and Nixon’s room, etc.}. The fact that we’re a whole lot further than we were at this time last week is a big FAVORITE!
Hope you guys have a super festive weekend!
XO
