Happy, Happy Friday, Friends!
By 3:30 p.m., all the Slaughter peeps will officially be on Christmas break. WAHOOOO!!! This mama is SO ready for us to all be together. Last night around the dinner table EVERYONE was home and I said, “Oh isn’t this SO nice when we’re ALL around the table together?”. I got some eye rolls due to my comment but let me just tell you, I was loving it.
For the last time this year, I’m here with Andrea for Friday FAVORITES!

First FAVORITE of the day…our town’s festiveness is currently off the charts. ha! We went to the Christmas parade in downtown McKinney last Saturday to see all the fun + Ebby Lee and her Boyd cheerleaders walk. Tab, Britt and I got there early to walk around a bit and some of the shops are showing off big time! Look how cute this store is!

I know the pic is hard to see but this coat is a FAVORITE! Every time I wear it, I get compliments. The length is so good. It looks good with black, browns, and even Christmas reds. The forecast doesn’t look like I’ll be needing a coat anytime soon but if I would, I’d grab this one! And do you spy my festive red heels? They also come in black and gold. I’m a terrible heel walker {if that sentence even makes sense-ha!}. Dare I say these are some of the most comfortable heels I’ve ever owned? It’s TRUTH!

MORE festive fun happened this week! On Wednesday our local elementary school teachers load up on a school bus and carol around in neighborhoods. We look forward to this tradition every year! Another FAVORITE!

This is my FAVORITE meme of the week. I showed it to Tab and he didn’t really get it. {Because he doesn’t wrap the gifts.}.

THANK YOU to everyone who took time out of their day to give me a little blog feedback. If you’d like to add yours, I’d love to read them. Each year when I take a blog break your feedback helps me come back renewed, refreshed and full of new ideas for January so I really appreciate your help! Please leave your feedback here! THANK YOU!

In my Advent study this week we read about the Good News the shepherds received. Jesus, the Messiah, God’s son had been born! Sometimes I think we {I know I can} get a little numb to this Good News that I have to share with others. My prayer going into 2026 is we all remember and share this Good News in the same way those shepherds would have been re-sharing it all those years ago.

From the Slaughter Family to yours, we’re wishing you the Merriest Christmas! I hope you’re surrounded by the people you love this Christmas season and make some great memories. If you have someone missing from your table this holiday, please know I’m thinking, praying for you, and sending you extra love. Merry Christmas, Friends!
XO
