Hey There Weekend! Am I glad to see you! 🙂 Andrea and I are here rounding up our FAVORITES on this Friday. Each week we host a little link-up where we invite you all to join us by adding your blog to the bottom of the post. It’s a great way to find a few new blogs and get your blog to others as well.
I have a random list of FAVORITES from our week to share….
First up, if you follow along on Instagram {I’m right here} then you might have seen where I asked for thriller recommendations. Those books are my absolute favorite! When I begin reading and book and can already pretty much take a big guess at the ending, I think WHY should I waste my time continuing to read. So, I much prefer the books that leave me guessing. I asked for suggestions and you guys delivered! Apparently you like a thriller too! There were tons of recs but I took the ones recommended the very most and compiled them into a little list…
THE HOUSEMAID | THE TURN OF THE KEY | HOME BEFORE DARK | AN HONEST LIE | WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME | STAY AWAKE | THE WIFE UPSTAIRS {I actually read this one and missed it on my graphic}| A FLICKER IN THE DARK | LOCAL WOMAN MISSING | THE LAST WIFE | BEHIND HER EYES | MY LOVELY WIFE | THINGS WE DO IN THE DARK | THE GOLDEN COUPLE | THE OTHER WOMAN {This one TOO!}| THE SECRETS YOU KEEP | THE LAST FLIGHT | THE OVERNIGHT GUEST | THE PRISONER | ROCK PAPER SCISSORS
Those are all the books on my must-read list for 2023!
I made another list of all the suggestion you gave that I’ve already read…
THEN SHE WAS GONE | THE PERFECT MARRIAGE | THE SUN DOWN MOTEL | GONE GIRL | INTO THE WATER | THE WIFE BETWEEN US | THE GOOD SISTER | SOMETHING IN THE WATER | NOT A HAPPY FAMILY | LUCKIEST GIRL ALIVE | VERITY | THE GUEST LIST | THE SANATORIUM | ONE BY ONE | THE SILENT PATIENT | ALL THE MISSING GIRLS | THE GOOD GIRL | THE FAMILY UPSTAIRS | THE FAMILY REMAINS | BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
All good, suspenseful books that will leave you guessing until the end-just how I like it. :). Have you read any of those and have a book I must start with? If so, let me know! Before I got your suggestions, I downloaded A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, and am slowly making my way through that. It’s way easier to read a book when we have no schedules and no school. ha!

Last Friday we had some of the CUTEST guests for dinner. The fact that this baby is almost her size is too funny. When our friends walked in with their twin baby girls, Britt immediately wanted to hold one. Thank goodness Berkley was feeling it. She was the sweetest sitting in Britt’s lap like this. Callahan was slowing warming up to Tab. He was bound and determined to get her to like him. The other kids all came in and after a few minutes Nixon said, “Okay, Britt, let me hold her”. I wish I’d been recording her response. She sighed and then said, “Ugh! Get the other one!”. I guess that’s the bonus to two babies…two of us get to be living out our baby dreams at the same time. They are the CUTEST things and we’re anxiously awaiting their parents going to dinner or leaving them for a weekend with us in charge! Those babies are a definite FAVORITE! {And I majorly failed by not getting a group pic!}

This happens to be the time in the Slaughter boys life where they don’t have many sports going on. They have some practices each week but not a ton on the calendar so when they were both asked to play flag football last weekend we jumped on it. Watching them play a sport they love is always a FAVORITE…
And for some reason this pic is crazy blurry BUT he caught it!
The extra special part was their games on Sunday were in Cowboys Stadium which made both of them losing in the semi-finals a little less painful.

I found this new FAVORITE loungey-top. I liked the neon yellow because I remember saying, “Hot Yellow”, was my favorite color way back when I was eight and apparently it still holds a place in my heart.
I paired this FAVORITE oversize blazer from the fall {but similar} with flare jeans for church on Sunday. And the cutie was the perfect addition.

If you missed my post yesterday, I’m super excited about a new FAVORITE series! I’m selecting random products from the Allure Best of Beauty Awards, trying them out, and then reviewing them!

You guys know Yellowstone was a FAVORITE. In the fall, I watched 1883 and LOVED it too. Tab and I are slowly making our way through 1923 so I can’t speak to it yet-but so far, so good!

This weekend we have one dinner out, one football tournament, three birthday parties, and a whole lot of unpacking to do. Hope you guys have a great weekend!
XO
I haven’t really gotten into Yellowstone but I LOVED 1883!
They are a little different so I totally see that!
What a fun roundup! Have a great weekend!

“Hot yellow”! I love it! Super cute top! And I love Britt saying “Get the other one.” Hysterical!
I could see Berkley among 1000 other babies and still pick her out because she looks EXACTLY like her mama! 🙂
Isn’t that the truth!?! haha!
I NEEDED your book suggestions! We def have the same taste!! I’ve read many of these but will work my way through the rest on your list–thank you!
Yay Casey! So glad to hear that! Do you have a favorite out of the books I haven’t read?
Hi Erika I love the top with neon yellow, what size are you wearing?!?
I’m wearing a M but should have sized down! So typical size…unless you want it oversized.
I read a bunch of recommendations for The Housemaid. I read it and thought it was awful! The writing, in my opinion, is just not good. But I’ve read many of the others and there are some good ones there 😊
EEEK, Sara! Thanks for sharing! It was recommended the most by far. I’ll keep that in mind when I read. Thank you!
I think you should either start with Wrong Place, Wrong Time or Rock, Paper, Scissors. They were both so good I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!😬
Thank you!! Will do just that!
