Friday Favorites-1.10.25

Happy SNOWY Friday!

Today is Snow Day #2 for us in the Slaughter House! WAHOO! I’m living my best cozy life!

It’s my first Friday Favorites of the YEAR and I have some RANDOMNESS to share with you today! This year Andrea and I will be back each and every Friday sharing a round up of FAVES from the week. Just like years past, we invite you to join us by linking up at the bottom of this post.

First FAVORITE…

Shay and I are teaming up for another year of Let’s Look blog posts happening the second Wednesday of every month {except this one-we’re sharing next week and I’m giddy about talking low level goals!}. Here’s the line-up for the year…

I’m really excited about this list of topics! Think it’s gonna be a fun year!

I know I already mentioned it but SNOW DAYS are a FAVORITE! Please take note of our tree…as the Christmas season went on more and more lights quit working. I’m waiting until trash day to remove it. hahaha! Not pictured…my computer and cup of coffee.

I’ve been using a new to me Colleen Rothschild product for about two weeks, the Bio-Azure Replenishing Oil. I’ve been using it both morning and night to keep my face hydrated. It’s been working so well! Now other parts of my body are super dry but not my face. This morning I even mixed a little Isle of Paradise self-tanning drops to the oil and worked like a charm.

You guys know how I feel about Football Bowl Season and the College World Series. Well, apparently this new College Football Playoff situation might be my new FAVORITE! I’m LOVING this bracket! That game last night WAS SO GOOD!

The reading bug has bit me already in 2025 and I’ve read a ton of books. I’m thinking maybe {if you have snow where you are too?} you might be looking for a new book to read. Spoiler alert…so far Long Bright River has been the best book I’ve read this month. The author of this one also wrote God of the Woods but I enjoyed this book even more. This book takes place in Philadelphia where two sisters take different paths…one becomes a cop {Mickey} while the other is an addict {Kacey} living on the streets. Kacey goes missing and Mickey is determined to figure out where she is or what has happened to her. This book toggles back and forth between their childhood and present day. It’s a thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat and I wasn’t able to predict what was happening. It was REALLY good!

This is a Christmas present I got myself and I’m LOVING it! This new T3 straightener is a FAVORITE! It makes my hair look so much smoother and straighter than my old one.

Yesterday was a FAVORITE! 3/4 of the kids got out to enjoy the snow with snowball fights, sledding, and snow angels. If you’re looking for us today, you’ll probably find us doing a lot more of this.

Thank you guys for reading today! Have the best weekend! I’ll see you on Monday!

XO
