Football Fashion-Da Bears Edition & The Best Nachos

Happy November FIRST, Friends! I love a fresh new month and while October is always one for the record books, the clean slate of a new month feels so nice. Here’s to looking to find something everyday to be thankful for this month!

Before I dive right into the Football Fashion talk, I want to give you a little update on our weekend…

Saturday morning Ebby Lee’s eighth grade volleyball team kicked off the morning with their first round of the District Tournament which THEY WON {and then later played to take the championship in Gold}! Wahoo! Big day for the Lions!

Bowen’s flag football team played in their first round of playoff games and won the first game. It will forever go down as one of the most miserable games I’ve experienced weather-wise. It was windy, raining, and chilly. This was me…

Totally unprepared. But a great day of sports for Slaughter Kid #2, Bowen’s team was both playoff games making it to the Super Bowl next weekend. The fact they did it in that terrible weather made the wins even better, in my opinion. 🙂

We got home and were chilled to the bone so I whipped up some of THE BEST NACHOS we’ve ever had. It really wasn’t as much a recipe but it was the method….

THE BEST NACHOS

1 bag tortilla chips

1 pound lean ground beef

1 package taco seasoning

store bought pack of queso {keeping it real here-ha!}

shredded cheese

frozen corn

green onions

*basically, I cooked the ground beef like I was gonna make tacos and then had the kids favorite nacho toppings on hand. The special nacho method is simply layering. So kind of like when you make a lasagna, you’re gonna do the same thing but with your nachos. Tortilla chips, meat, toppings, more tortilla chips, meat, and toppings. Then I baked it all until it was warm. We ate ours with salsa. It was THE perfect warm football watching food for our Saturday night.

This was pre-oven but we layered them up.

And put it in the oven. DELISH!! November 6th happens to be National Nacho Day so you guys should give it a try next Sunday!

Who is cheering for those Bears? They played our own Dallas Cowboys this past weekend so I can’t say that I was but after spying some of these goodies you might decide to become a Bears fan.

Gold Bracelet | Bears Jersey | Bears logo Stud Earrings | Ombre Long Sleeve Shirt | Ruffle Sleeve Sweater | Watercolor Tunic | Blue Blouse | Pom Beanie | AGOLDE Jeans | Upscale Printed Blouse Set | Bears Sweatshirt | Bears Tote

The Besties took the day off to celebrate Halloween with our families so we don’t have a new episode today, but if you missed any of the other episodes be sure to listen to those today instead.

Hope you guys have the BEST November 1st!

XO

Oohhh…Moni, I just baked them until everything was gooey and melty. If I’m ever gonna post another recipe, I’ve gotta get better. I’d say 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes but keep checking!
