We’ve been having some Christmas fun over the past week. Hope you have too. 😉
Caroling:
The teachers at the big kids’ school sing carols around the neighborhoods. It’s always a fun time.
We bundled up and were ready to watch the show.
And five minutes later I had to peel off my scarf and beanie because we live in Texas.
Frisco Square:
After Tab’s last football game last weekend, he pulled into town right on time to head to dinner with us.
We opted for Babe’s Chicken House because (I’d like to say the chicken, but…) the biscuits. Holy Yum!
Frisco’s downtown square has a cute area that’s all lit up and it goes along with Christmas music. It was yucky and rainy so we didn’t walk around the square. Instead we drove around a couple times.
We parked during a favorite Christmas song and just happened to be right beside the fake snow machine.
Having this guy home on a Saturday night is always fun!
Elf on the Shelf:
Our elf, Sparky, showed up on Sunday morning. I mean if I could have waited and let him arrive on the 22nd, I totally would have. 🙂
Sparky brought powdered donuts in the bag because he’s super classy. haha! The truth is I forgot on Saturday night to get everything set up, but I remembered at 2:34 a.m. in the middle of the night. So I popped out of bed to set the table up. He also brought hot chocolate and Advent calendars.
Visiting Santa:
The Santa we’ve always gone to visit is super busy and requires a reservation. I usually wait forget and we have to go at a weird time the week before Christmas. This year I made us reservations early! After dinner on Monday, we headed over to visit the Big Guy.
It’s so funny to me how nervous my kiddos get before seeing Santa. Santa was so sweet, asked what they wanted for Christmas, and when he got to Nix, Nix PANICKED! He responded with, “Nixon”. hahaha! And then all three started giggling like little girls. Nixon’s face turned red. It was priceless. That explains his face in the picture. 🙂
That’s the Christmas fun we’ve been having. Hope you enjoyed it. XO
Ah! That story about Nixon is so sweet!! I love that picture of your three kiddos with Santa :).
The elves must have received a group discount on powdered donuts this year because that's what our elf brought too. Ha! Or maybe he forgot and ran to Walgreens at 11pm before his arrival?? Oops!

Carter always gets sooo nervous too! Like wringing his shirt as he talks to Santa! Great pic with The Big Guy! 🙂
Looks like a fun week!!! That picture with Santa is adorable!
My uncle took us to Babes Chicken House when we visits him in frisco this summer! It was definitely an experience!
You're so sweet with your hat and scarf in texas! You're always welcome in Canada where you'll definitely get use out of your winter gear 🙂
How is it that I've never eaten at Babe's Chicken?!? Must rectify SOON! Cute pics, girl. And the story about Nix cracks me up.
Such sweet Christmas memories you all are making already! I love that the elf brings a treat and advent calendars!

We went to a wedding where Babes had catered. While the wedding party took pictures they had a "biscuit bar" for the guests. It was incredible. Biscuits and cocktails?!?! YES MA'AM!!!!
Isn't Christmas time the best?!?
Powdered donuts in a bag are totally classy! I'd have to agree with Sparky on that one 🙂
Oh heavens! We eat at Babes every time we are in Frisco
Adorable Santa picture- and of all her sweet outfits, this one of Ebby Lee's is the BEST <3
Okay, so can we talk Babes?
My family, husband and 2 boys (7 and 12), are heading down your way in January. My oldest son plays football on the US National team and will be playing in Cowboys stadium. He is super excited and so is his momma!! I am not only his biggest fan but a huge, huge Cowboys fan too.
Anyway, we love to eat local when we travel and I have noticed Babes being mentioned alot. Is it worth it to make it 1 of 4 dinners or keep looking? Any suggestions?
Love your blog! Your are so down to earth and sweet. I think we would be fast friends!
Thanks much– Tess
Hey Tess!! I'd love to help, but where are you staying? I'll give some recommendations based on your area. Congrats to your son! That sounds awesome!
You will love Jax! Skip downtown and the landing. Treat yourself to the spa at ponte vesta inn and club. Amazing! Eat at Taco Lu, metro diner, maple street biscuit company. Shop at the town center and boutiques in Atlantic beach
Hi Erika-
We are staying in Arlington, very close to the stadium. We don't mind venturing out, as long as its worth it!! Lol 🙂
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions. Thanks again!
