What a weekend! I didn’t take a ton of pictures but I want to share a little recap. One day, I’ll look back and be so glad I have this. Or at least that’s what I tell myself. 😉
We kicked off the holiday fun with a quadruple date night with some friends we don’t get to see that often. Our kids are at different schools and they’re now involved in different sports so it was fun to get to catch up with them over a nice, quiet, kid-free meal.
And after dinner we stumbled into a Speak Easy in McKinney! I didn’t even know that was a thing?! Did you?
Fun time with friends!
Friday afternoon Bowen celebrated a friend’s birthday by a theater all to themselves. They watched the new Minions movie and loved it!
And then Bowen was busy playing in a flag football tournament Saturday and Sunday. They got to play in Cowboys’ Stadium on Sunday, which was probably the highlight for him.
On the 4th, after missing it the last two years, we hit up the downtown parade! And by the time the last float passed, I was a sweaty mess! hahaha!
Nixon and friends stayed busy playing football on a side street.
There’s not a lot better than a small-town 4th of July parade. Even if it’s really hot.
Right after, we grabbed a quick lunch and went to the Shulls for an afternoon/evening of fun, delicious food, and fireworks!
