What’s Up Wednesday-Last One of the Year

I’m linking up today with Sheaffer and Shay for What’s Up Wednesday.

What We’re Eating This Week…
This is a weird week for my kitchen.  It’s the kind of week where I’ll probably decide around 4:00 p.m. what we’re actually having for dinner that night.  We have some fun things planned and really won’t be home much so that helps with this dinner plan {or lack thereof} as well.

What I’m Reminiscing About…
Christmas Eve 2018
We started the tradition three years ago of staying here in Texas for Christmas.  While at times, I’m sad about not being surrounded by family it’s allowed us to make our own traditions and this was us on Christmas Eve last year.  I’m looking forward to our plans this year.

What I’m Loving…
This made me LAUGH!  I have zero wrapping skills, but I’m LOVING the fact that I’ve been wrapping presents almost as they arrive so there shouldn’t be a last minute scramble like in year’s past.

What We’ve Been Up To…
ALL THE CHRISTMAS THINGS!

Christmas dinner with some mama friends, Shay’s Recipe Exchange, Carriage Ride, Christmas Dance Recital…just to name a few.

What I’m Dreading…
Top of my list today-addressing Christmas cards.  It’s a must and I dread it.

What I’m Working On…
Another meme that is so me!!  This one!  I’m working on making sure everyone has very close to the same amount of gifts.  Ways I do that?  Wrap up toothpaste if I have to.  HAHAHAHA!

What I’m Excited About…
Our post-Christmas plans 🙂

What I’m Watching/Reading…
I’m working my way through this book, Next Year in Havana, slowly.  I should add-it’s not going slowly because the book isn’t good, it’s going slowly because this is my super slow reading time.  It happens every year.

This is what I said in November and I still feel the same way!

We’re watching ALL THE CHRISTMAS MOVIES as well!

What I’m Listening To…
What kind of question is this the WEEK before Christmas?
CHRISTMAS SONGS, of course!

What I’m Wearing…
I’m still wearing these boots on repeat this year.  I bought them last year and wore them a ton right after Christmas, but they come with both the brown and red shoelaces.  If you see me now, I’m sporting the red laces for CHRISTMAS!  This year the boot isn’t a wedge, but they look pretty identical other then them being flat.  I kind of feel like I got two pairs in one because those laces make a huge difference.

What I’m Doing This Weekend…
We have some fun things plan around town and we’re getting together with Tab’s mom and his siblings to celebrate Christmas on Saturday.

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month…
Our New Year’s Plans

Thanks for reading today!

Oh man — I am so that mom that tries to make sure everyone has the same amount of presents also. I cannot stop myself from doing it. I try to stop, every year. And I fail every year.
I am envious though because I am not on top of my wrapping game this year =/ My plan was to wrap everything yesterday afternoon while all my boys were at school and then SURPRISE! — snow day! =[ So hopefully I get that plus all the school party preparations done today before Christmas break

Say a little prayer for each person you address a Christmas card to. It will make it seem more meaningful 🙂

Such great pictures! LOVING those tshirts in the last photo!! So funny!! And your fur lined boots look gorgeous! Great idea to wrap presents as they arrive. Most of ours are still unwrapped and need to get that done before winter break starts!

I found wrapping as soon as the gifts arrived (or each weekend in December) worked really well for me! I had to laugh at that meme- my son has asked for socks, body wash, and one other item this month (all of which I had already purchased to fill his stocking with) and each time I asked "can you wait until Christmas?" He couldn't but luckily I always way overbuy and he's old enough that if it's not totally full I can just remind him he stole a few of my gifts off the top early.
