What we’re eating this week:
Monday: We had Taco Pasta. I’m usually not the biggest pasta fan BUT if you add taco goodies in my pasta, I’m a big fan!
Tuesday: Fiesta Chicken with Rice was on the menu before a baseball game. Slow cooker for the win! 🙂
Wednesday: Lasagna Soup is what’s on the menu for tonight.
Thursday: We’re going out on the town for a fun night.
Friday: We’ll eat out again because we’re headed to a football game.
What I’m Reminiscing About:
My, how times have changed! I remember the first football trip I attended WITH kiddos. I met my parents in Arkansas for one of Tab’s college games and I had one-year-old Ebby Lee and six-month-old Nixon in tow. I remember thinking it was SO HARD! (Granted, those ages aren’t great for football watching.) But we’ve been trying to find a weekend that works for the kiddos and I to tag along to a game this season. Thanks to seven-year-old flag football and dance, it’s been so hard to get away!
What I’m Loving:
All the FALL festivities! This past weekend was our BFG (Sunday School) classes’ annual Harvest Party. If you’re looking for a great event for a group, DO THIS! We rent this pavilion, have a bounce house for the evening, and all bring yummy food in slow cookers. The kiddos get to show off their costumes, everyone gets to visit, and a fun night is had by all!
This year I took the cutest little panda, a Candy Fairy, Indiana Jones (whose costume reviews on line were ALL WRONG), and a Star Wars’ guy to the party. 🙂

What We’ve Been Up To:
We’ve been up to all the games lately. I looked over during Nixon’s game last week and saw this. 🙂
Sometimes I forget those boys are just SEVEN! We’re expecting home runs, double plays, and three quick outs but at times like this…when they’re mesmerized by a cute baby-I remember they’re seven. ha! Nixon said all his friends were talking about how cute Britt is.
This game was supposed to start at 7:30 and there were a couple delays so it started at 8:15! For late games, I usually put Britt to bed before we leave and have a babysitter come, but our girl who usually does this had sports herself. I didn’t dream the game would start so late. BUT all that to say, Miss Britt hung like a champ. I think she’s gonna be a little night owl because she caught a second wind around 8:45 was lively until we got home.
What I’m Dreading:
Bowen’s getting his tonsils removed in November and I’m already dreading it. 🙁
What I’m Working On:
Sending families like the one pictured above to Disney World. We’ve been busy bees working on family vacations traveling to Disney World, traveling via cruise, or traveling to all-inclusives in Mexico. What I’m Excited About:
We have our family pictures scheduled for next week. This week I’ve been pulling clothes and am excited to see how they come together. You can see our summer pictures in yesterday’s post here.
What I’m watching/reading:
Every year I see this trilogy pop up around Christmas, but I always think it’s too late for me to read them all in time! Shay mentioned this series and I was so glad she did! I’ve read the first two and am reading through the last one right now.
We’ve been watching ALL THE HALLOWEEN movies as well. You guys recommended some great ones. Read through the comments in this post for all your suggestions.

This Ugg cardigan is on sale and I’m thinking it’d make a great Christmas present. Comes in two other colors.
What I’m Doing This Weekend:
We’re going to a football game and getting in the Halloween spirit!
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month:
-THANKSGIVING-
We won’t see all the crew pictured above because everyone can’t make it for Thanksgiving this year. BUT-we’re excited about everyone we’ll get to see on this trip. With Britt arriving this summer, we didn’t have a chance to make a trip to Missouri. We’re stoked about introducing her to the family!
