Tuesday Talk

 Hi Everyone!

Welcome to another edition of TUESDAY TALK!  Once a month, Fancy Ashley and I get together to chat.  We invite you to join us the third Tuesday of the month to share ANYTHING on your mind.  We’ve covered a wide range of topics from things that drive me crazy to vacations to swim suits and I assure you the list for the rest of the year will be just as diverse.

When we moved into our house about two years ago, we instantly fell in love with our neighbors.  They’re the sweetest people, are just fun to be around, and come outside to visit when they see three loud kids playing in the yard.  I’m telling you-they are GOOD people.  Long story short- the middle daughter is getting married in just a couple weeks in New Orleans, and Tab and I are making the trip for the wedding.  I’m super excited for many reasons…1. I can’t wait to see this beautiful bride get married.  2. I’ve never been to New Orleans.  The closest I’ve come is a month long marathon of The Princess and the Frog when Ebby Lee was younger and obsessed with Tiana.  3. I love a reason to get all fancy, dress up, and have a night out with my man.

I started ordering some dresses a few weeks ago because my best “try on” sessions always happen at home, in front of my own mirror.  Nordstrom makes that so easy with free shipping and free returns.  If I’m lucky, I return things in store so I can aimlessly walk around the store and more often than not, find something I just can’t live without.  ðŸ˜‰  So when Nordstrom asked me to partner with them to share some new spring items with you, I jumped on the chance to talk DRESSES!

Like I said, I ordered quite a few lots of dresses, have narrowed the playing field down to my absolute favorites and am hoping you’ll help me decide which dress to wear to this upcoming New Orleans wedding by voting on your favorite!

The specifics are an afternoon wedding in New Orleans followed by a second line parade {you New Orleans girls will know what I’m talking about but I think it’s the bridal party and guests following a band down the street from the church to the reception-correct me if I’m wrong}, and then a reception with dancing.

Every single dress in the pictures below is paired with these nude ankle strap sandals.  They have a block wedge so I’m thinking they scream “PARADE” a little more than a teeny heel.  And because of the nude color-they go with everything!

#1
First up is this Charles Henry Bell Sleeve Dress.  It is cute, comfy, and the sleeves are to die for.  I paired it with a fun Kendra Scott pendant, my favorite go-to hoops, and the ankle strap sandals.  The Charles Henry quickly sold out, but this Halogen dress is super similar.

#2
This coral lace dress is a little different than something I’d normally gravitate towards, but I tried it on and loved it.
#3
Off-the-shoulder everything is so popular right now.  This dress totally fits the bill.  And it comes with a built in clasp that keeps the dress from riding up on your shoulders.  You know how some off-the-shoulder tops eventually ride up, that will not happen with this dress.

#4
This ruffle front high/low dress is fun!  This dress is super comfortable and the color is really pretty.

#5
The color of this lacey number is gorgeous…a very pretty purple.  I really like the lace-it keeps it very feminine.

#6
This Mandarin collar shift dress was so comfortable.  It’s hard to tell from the picture but it had a little overlay with cute designs that are also navy.

#7
Floral + Lace + Spring Color= YES!  This pink floral lace dress is super feminine and still so comfy!

Now I need your help!  Which dress would you choose?  Please vote for your favorite!  And don’t forget to check out what Fancy Ashley is chatting about today.

Also…a huge THANK YOU to Nordstrom for partnering with me today.  And maybe you have an upcoming wedding, graduation, or party and have been looking for a new dress?  Hope this is helpful for you!

See you tomorrow, friends!  XO
