Top Three-SUMMER Musts

I used to have weekly Top Three posts every Tuesday and just kind of stopped doing them.  About six weeks ago, I brought one back just to see what you guys thought.  If you missed it, I shared Top Three Things That Surprised Me Lately. You guys seemed to all be fans so I’ll try to bring it back periodically!  Thank you, by the way, for commenting in this space, e-mailing me, messaging, and more.  It really makes my day when I’m reminded people are actually READING this.  🙂  So-THANK YOU!

July 2nd is HERE!  Can you believe it?!  Summer is in FULL swing and I have some things I absolutely LOVE but only in the summer.  These products are legit my FAVORITES when the sun is high in the sky and the Texas skies are beaming super high temperatures.  To be honest-in the fall?  I’d prefer other things.  In the winter?  No, thanks!  But during the summer months-I NEED these THREE THINGS!

Here’s my list…
Last summer I fell in LOVE with this Kopari Coconut Melt.  Scratch that-last summer WE fell in LOVE with Kopari Coconut Melt at the Slaughter House.  We took a jar to Rosemary Beach for our family vacation and almost used an entire jar.  It’s great for dry skin, sun-kissed skin, and skin that got too much sun.  It also takes off eye make-up like a charm and can even be used as a mask for my dry, damaged hair!  We could basically use that one jar for anything!

Since our Italy/Greece vacation, I’ve had My Big Fat Greek Wedding on the brain.  I have an analogy for you…
My Big Fat Greek Wedding Family is to Windex as the Slaughter Family in the SUMMER is to Kopari Coconut Melt.  But only in the summer.  In the winter, pass me the Windex. 😉

Remember the weird part…when fall hits, I put the Kopari away.

I’m a HUGE fan of La Croix and basically ANY flavor…grapefruit, mango, lime, lemon, and the list goes on!  But I only want to drink them when it’s hot outside.  In the fall?  No thank you!  I’d prefer coffee, tea, or even plain water!  But sitting outside at a hot ball park {like I’ve been the past four days} GIVE ME ALL THE LA CROIX!

Typically, I use an SPF on my face all summer long…with make-up or without I have an SPF on my face.  But during the fall/winter I make sure my foundation or CC cream has an SPF and call it good.  Should I rely on that?  Absolutely not!  But that’s typically what happens around here.  Real legit SPF all summer long and the first day it cools off…I deem myself good to take a break.  I’m really hoping this product doesn’t get put on the back of the shelf when fall arrives this year!

Okay, friends…WHAT ABOUT YOU?!
Do you have certain products you use and LOVE all summer long but then put them away when fall is in the air?  If so, please share!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Part FOUR of our Italy/Greece Vacation!

Thank you!

I LOVE this post. Always a huge fan of faves. I'm into Loreal Lash Primer. Cheap and EFFECTIVE. I always thought lash primer was a scam- but it WORKS and makes your lashes so huge and fluttery. And Loreal is cheap and easy to use.

Are you doing a book update soon, so we can get more great book ideas? 🙂

Love La Croix {especially the Coconut flavor} but I have been sipping on Bubly this summer and it’s my new favorite! Watermelon, Peach, Blackberry or Pineapple — love this alone or as a mixer with some Tito’s!

In our family we are obsessed with Mary Kay extra emollient cream. We always joke that is our sub for Windex! Dry skin? Use it. Burn? Use it. For over night lip care? Use it.

I wish I could drink Bubly water or La Croix but all the bubbles give me heartburn 🙁

Hint water is my absolute favorite and yes, I probably drink it more in the summer than any other time!

I must be in the minority with La Croix because I am not a fan. Since I know you are in Texas, I really like the HEB Sparkling Water, particularly the coconut. It just the right amount of extra taste and bubble to water.

First, I have been a dedicated reader of your blog for years! 🙂 My best friend and I speak of you and our other favorite McKinney bloggers as if we are all friends! 😉 Second, I burn specific scents of Circle E Candles based on the seasons. (I learned this from Shay!) My absolute favorite Circle E Candle is Orange Vanilla but I will only burn it in the summer months! Once September arrives, Orange Vanilla is put away and Apple Strudel comes out!
