Is it just me? But this about sums me up every February when I start thinking {WAY TOO EARLY} about swimsuits! This past year since we were headed to a sunny destination in March I not only thought about the suits but started ordering.
Many of you are probably like me and are always on the look out for a new brand or suit to try. If so, I’ve got you covered in the “what worked for me this year” department. Shay and I talked about this a bit on one of our podcasts but I thought I’d share a few more details.
Sometimes this happens. 🙂
No way am I posting swimsuit pictures of myself on here…hahahaha! Don’t have the guts for that! But I thought I’d share the suits I’ve loved over the last couple years. In case you’re on the hunt, maybe consider one of these…
Top and {another top} that works well for me.
These two tops come in all different bra sizes so they can work for almost everyone. They come in many colors and can be mixed or matched with whatever bottoms you have. Great way to spice up your swim suit wardrobe! If you’re on the search for some great bottoms, I like this pair from Athleta. They offer great coverage and come in lots of colors.
You might have seen this one before, but this combo comes in two other colorways-a pink/red and black/white. It’s so well made. My only hesitation when I wear this one are the funky tan lines.
Another new brand {to me}. I feel like this top is all over Pinterest, magazines, and even the girl sitting next to me at the pool recently. Thankfully she was wearing hers in a different color so no one even noticed.
I can’t get these pictures to work, but I bought this combination last year and it’s still in the rotation. I paired this top with these bottoms for a super classic and fully covered look. J. Crew has a ton of other great suits including long torso options!
I’ve also always had good luck with this brand, but all of mine are old or out of stock.
These are all such a great suggestions! I’m always on the hunt for something practical but also cute! Definitely may add a new suit or two to my collection. Thanks for the recs!

That black and white top is adorable! I have several on the way to me from Target right now!
You always have on the cutest suits!!
These suits are perfect for active Mum life – I always think it is a plus when they STAY ON properly when a.Having to follow your child down some water park slide you are terrified of (and it doesn't fly up or down when you hit the water at the bottom). b. Ditto with having to do dives /tricks / water polo with said child c. your child doesn't tell you you are 'embarrasing' in it. The athleta suits do inspire we with some confidence in these respects 😉 I would love to see you do a 'getting bikini ready' post in say Feb – I always need a kick up the bum then, when you want to get focused but it is difficult 🙂
I cracked up when I saw the pic of the orangutan. Sad to say but that's the shape my body is evolving into since this pandemic. I wish I could say I'm kidding but I'm not.
Ok. I LOVE your backyard and the new covered area! So dreamy! We just bought a new house and so we won’t be doing the yard til next year – but I’m pulling ideas together. Question. Did you put your pool in or did you buy a house that already had a pool? Your pool looks like a great size – I’d love a post about your pool. Material, deck size, what you use for playing music, your grill set up. Basically just a family back yard post would be so awesome! (Ha! I cannot even with suits. Once you hit 50 it’s all downhill in the shape department!)
An amazing blog having a log of very good suggestions to buy women's swimsuits. I have been looking at the Bare necessities women's swimsuit section to buy it for myself as they are offering a 50% discount along with free international shipping. I was confused about the style that I should buy for myself. Your Blog has helped me out with choosing the right style for me to buy from the wide range of women's swimwear styles. Thank you very much.
