Summer List

Hey There, Friends!

My, oh my, I missed you last week!  Thank you for coming alongside me and praying.  I got so many sweet messages and e-mails letting me know you were doing just that, which is exactly why I love you all so much.

I did so much reading, learning, and talking to my kids over the past week about what’s happening in our country.  And hope you’re doing the same.  One thing I realized is we’re gonna have to give each other a little grace.  As our children learn new things like riding a bike, we might give them some helpful pointers but typically being overly critical of their attempts isn’t successful in anyway.  I ask that you give me grace and extend that grace to each other as well.  I’m committed to learning, doing better, and raising four kids who will stand up for what they believe in to make this world a better place.

My little spot on the internet is meant to encourage and uplift you and bring a little happy to your day.  I’m committed to doing that and am glad to be back with you this week.

First up, Let’s Look Wednesday will be a bit different this week.  Shay and I will be discussing how we can make sure we’re encouraging racial equality at home.  Please join us Wednesday!

I’m trying to soak up our summer days as this is probably our last summer without major commitments during the days so the kids and I made a list of some of the to do’s we don’t want to miss out on this year.  The days are long but those years are short.  So short in fact, they seem to be FLYING BY!
I kicked off my Monday by adding all the s’mores goodies to my grocery list.  Next on my list is untangling some fishing line. 🙂

What are YOUR summer plans?  What’s on YOUR family’s to do list?

Thank you for being here today!  I’ve missed you!
Happy Monday!
XO

I really like the idea of making a list of things to do this summer! Totally copying that idea. Keep us posted on how paddleboarding goes. I’ve always wanted to try that. Thanks for sharing your lovely life with us. Much love from one of your fans.

Glad you're back! I've always wanted to try paddleboarding, so that needs to be on my list too. And after seeing everybody else do it, I've had the itch to tie dye something as well!!!

Tie dye and baking bread have been on my list — finally scored a tie dye kit, haven’t found any yeast yet. Some of the things stores are still out of are surprising and make me aware of just how blessed we have always been!! What a different light my grandparents’ stories of living through the depression have taken and how much awe I have for all they endured and made the world better for us.
Do you think July 4th parades will be a go? Gosh I hope so. We still haven’t traveled, but I’m so looking forward to going somewhere. Almost anywhere LOL.

Such a great list! Mason wanted to tie dye a shirt last year for school and I talked him into buying one off amazon instead. 😂 Now that we have a little more free time, we may give it a go this summer! That Inspired Chick
