Hey Friends!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a SPOTLIGHT ON post and today is one of my favorites…Play Beauty Box by Sephora. It’s a monthly subscription box for just $10 that comes with five trial-size samples plus a beauty bonus. When you sign up you create your profile and while most of the items are the same overall, I have had one or two products vary from other’s boxes.
I’m always on the hunt for the moisturizer that will make me appear ten years younger, the lip color that will make my teeth appear whiter, or a foundation that removes every fine line and wrinkle…so this Play Beauty Box is right up my alley.
It’s like Christmas morning every time it arrives. 🙂 This month these were my goodies…
You receive this little page of info each month sharing a little about each product and how to use each one.
Sunday Riley’s C.E.O. Brightening Serum…I’m a fan of all Sunday Riley products so I’m super excited about trying this one.
Four Sigmatic Mushroom Golden Latte Mix…I don’t even know what to think about this product?? It promises a “glow from within radiance”. I can’t say no to that! I’ll keep you posted on how this tastes!
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask…this happens to be a product I’ve been wanting to try! YAY! Love when that happens…I’ll be using this ASAP! {And please don’t pay attention to my crazy dry hands. I get a new set of hands every winter. It’s awful!}
Bite Beauty lip balm and a sugar lip scrub…my lips are handling the winter better than my hands {THANKFULLY}, but I used this duo already…AMAZING!
Beautyblender Cleanser…I’m really glad this was in my box this month! I’m gonna clean all my makeup tools and use this cleanser to make it so easy.
Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace…I’m a FAN of this color. I wore it to dinner just last night. It’s a neutral with a little extra kick and it glided on so well.
I’m telling you-every month it feels like Christmas when my Play Beauty Box arrives. The price is GREAT! If you’re a product person, then I’d highly recommend this for you. It’s such a great way to test run a wide variety of products at such a great price.
The negatives are there isn’t a way to “gift these” to others at the moment. You can always sign up and gift them to different people each month or gift them to friends on certain months. Those are options! And the other negative is sometimes you receive a product you’re not interested in {I’m looking at you Golden Latte Mushroom Mix}. When it comes to those random items, those are typically few and far between.
In my opinion, it’s totally worth it!
What about YOU?! Have you subscribed to Play Beauty Box? And if so, what’d YOU think?

I love the Play beauty box. I subscribe off and on, and I think it's about time to reactivate! Between my teen daughter and myself, we usually enjoy all the items. Out of all the beauty boxes I've tried, this one has the most practical, useful products. Tanya – The Other Side of the Road
My box this month had three of those products! I really like the overnight mask a lot!! It's so fun to pull them out and play with everything.
SO FUN! I might have to try this out! But yeah, not interested in the mushroom latte. Ha!
I get the Play box also. I love it and look forward to it every month! I got the mushroom latte too and thought the same thing! But it does promise glow within so I’ll try it! Lol.
I live in New England and slather Aquaphor on my hands at night before bed. It's the only thing that gets rid of the winter dry cracked skin.
I’ve been wanting to try Four Sigmatic tea- I’ve heard good things, but didn’t want to commit to a whole box. Ha. So please review!!! Thank you!
I love mine! It's an awesome way to sample expensive products without having to commit to a full bottle of $100 face cream (I don't mind paying that but I want to know that it works first). I never manage to use up or keep up with a lipstick, so it's nice to have some trial sizes since most of them seem to be neutrals.
Have you tried the hand masks at Sephora? They have hand and feet masks with the face masks, they're great! My husband will do them with me while we watch TV at night, he loves them! Please do review these items, always like to see what works!
Go buy Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve for your hands! My entire family has been using this for years – it is the best thing that I've found for dry winter hands. Slather up right before you go to bed (so you don't end up washing it off) and you'll notice a difference in the morning!
Love it! I have a 17 year old daughter so we empty it on the kitchen counter and grab what we want!
I did Play for a while, then tried Birch Box and Ipsy. They are fun. I do one and then quit for a bit because the little products start piling up. lol I'm not feeling the mushroom latte either. Bleck!
Bite Glace is so one of my favorites too!

Try O'Keefe's Working Hands for dry hands! I use the foot stuff. It's amazing.
LOVE this! As for the 4-Sigmatic coffee…it’s amazing! I was really afraid but my healthy GF brought me the 4-stigmatic mushroom coffee, the Young Living Orange and almond milk…This is my new Starbucks fix! Every day! Try it and let me know cause I know you are an Oily Girl too!!!
Love the Mushroom Matcha coffee with YL essential Orange Oil and cream!
I am so confused over the mushroom latte! That sounds awful! It better be one heck of a glow!
Try Waleda Skin Food, available on Amazon for your dry hands. It changed my hands from sandpaper to baby soft overnight!
I've been getting the Play box for about 6 months now. Some products are Yay! and some are Boo! I opened this one, and then immediately taped it back up and sent it to my 20-something niece. And then unsubscribed. It just didn't excite me anymore. 🙁
Do you know how Play compares to Ipsy? I just signed up for Ipsy and will be getting my first box soon. 🙂 Now I'm intrigued by this play box too!
