Spotlight On…

After much deliberation {and by that I mean I’ve had lots of crazy thoughts swimming around in my head} I’ve decided to start a new series, Spotlight On, where twice a month I highlight products.  Maybe I love it, maybe I hate it, but either way I share my thoughts…the good, the bad, and the ugly.  I’ll ask you for your thoughts and if you’ve tried it, please share!

I attempted to do this every Friday {within a Friday Favorites’ post} at the beginning of the year and my attempts fell flat.  ๐Ÿ™

Not to worry, I have high hopes for this series!  I’ve shared before that I’m a product junkie.  Very rarely do I purchase the same product more than once, because I love trying out something new.  And if I do, then that means I REALLY love it!

Today, the Spotlight is On…

I’ve shared this product before but I’m certain it got lost in a big post full of random things.  After using this Root Boost for months, I decided it deserves it’s own spotlight. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is a volumizing spray mousse designed to use on damp hair at the root.  It gives your hair added texture after you blow dry that then gives you extra volume.

I’ve used this on both wet and dry hair and it definitely works better on wet hair.  The spray gives my dry hair some added texture but not nearly as much {as using it on damp hair}.  I think the added heat from drying really allows this product to shine.

Just like all Moroccanoil products, this Root Boost smells amazing! {5 Stars for the smell!}

When it comes to pricing, it’s on the higher side of hair products.  Since I’ve used it on my dry hair and haven’t seen any benefits, I now stick to only using it on wet/damp hair when I know it really works.

I can tell a difference when using the Root Boost compared to after blow drying and not using.  If you have hair that could use a little added volume, I’d recommend giving this a try.

Okay, a couple things…
*If you’ve tried this product, please let me know what you think.
*Are you a fan of a product-review-type-series?
*And if you have any products you’d like me to review, please send them my way.  ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have any specific questions about this product, please shoot them my way!

Have a GREAT HAIR DAY!  ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've never tried it but after your post, I'm going to give it a whirl! Do you know if Moroccan oil also has a hair spray product? I love the idea of a "Spotlight On" series! Thanks for the recommendation:)

Love these types of posts!!! I first tried Moroccan Oil products when I was pregnant and the strong smell made me so sick so I gave it to my mom who lives out of state. Then she came to visit after I had the baby and immediately I said you used that shampoo and the smell again overwhelmed me even on her! Itโ€™s so strong!!! This was 4 years ago. Thanks for sharing but this one isnโ€™t for me! Ha!

I've used this product and the only thing i don't like is how it makes my hair feel… dirty. i also I have to wash my hair the next day, no 2nd day hair for me. It just leaves a film on my hair. i will say it does give me volume and if i just need big hair for a night it's perfect.

I love product review posts but what I really love is a follow-up. If you aren't using the product 3 months later, why? Is it because you found another product that works just as good, something better, or you just always switch? I like to find products for life. I am not a try it and waste money kind of person.

The smell alone is worth any price!! I will say I once thought it was my dry shampoo and used it… #totaldisaster!! The hair spray smells equally amazing! I wanted to order a candle but someone told me it didn't smell like their other products. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Do you think the blow drying after spraying on wet hair is key? I rarely dry my hair in the morning but added volume would be welcomed! May I suggest next spotlight on an SPF that doesnโ€™t break you out? Love product reviews!
