Girls, first we must discuss the elephant in the room….
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY to you and your crew!
Back in the day, Tab and I were those people who got all dressed up to go out to a fancy dinner. My how times have changed! Now, we’re the people you’ll find at Cracker Barrel or possibly even {this year} making breakfast for dinner at home with everyone participating.
Because nothing says, “I love you”, like gravy. Am I right? 😉
I’m joining Andrea for another Show and Tell Tuesday. Today, we’re all showing and telling about the LOVES in our lives.
Let me introduce you to my people…
This is Tab, my hubby of almost twelve years. I shared lots of specifics about how we met just last week. You can read the post here. I’m always the first to say he’s way more fun than me. 🙂 He can talk to anyone about anything, can beat box like a champ (but will refuse if just randomly asked), and keeps our house dance parties loud! He’s a commercial insurance broker by day and a college football official every Saturday in the fall. He loves us big and we are so glad he’s ours.
Meet Ebby Lee, our seven-year-old. She fits every checklist in the birth order book for a first-born child. She’s super reliable, an achiever, very cautious…everything those books will tell you plus compassionate, sweet, and funny. She brings all the giggles and girly things into our house. She’s a girls-girl through and through. Her hobbies include dance, basketball, crafting, and reading.
A funny little story about Ebby Lee…
Yesterday in the car drop off line, Bowen was telling us he’s not the biggest in his class {which is a tragedy when you’re four years old apparently} and Ebby Lee said, “Bowen, just remember when you’re bigger you fall harder”. hahaha! We all know what she meant. 🙂
Nixon Talbot was born a mere twelve months and three days after his big sister. And he’s been shaking things up ever since. Nixon is really in to sports at the moment…basketball, baseball, football. He’s the biggest Dude Perfect fan, and he’s crazy competitive.
Nixon has always been able to deliver one liners at the BEST moments. I tripped on something last week. It was no big deal. I recovered well and I heard Nixon mutter, “classic”, under his breath! That kid.
Bowen Hency arrived on the scene about four years ago. He’s been breaking hearts and talking his way into things ever since. hahaha! Bowen is slowly transitioning from preschooler to wanting to do anything and everything Nixon is doing. He’s the peacemaker in our house. He can play school with Ebby Lee and then play football with Nixon. Bowen enjoys dinosaurs, legos, and doing anything outside.
Bowen has an infatuation with baby cheeks. Shay and I were discussing the other day and decided this deserved it’s own post so lots of pictures to come soon. But…ANYTIME Bowen is around Madeley, you can guarantee his hands will be on her cheeks. She’s so used to it at this point she pretends not to notice. Bless her heart. Right? {Sidenote: Just looking at Madeley…don’t we all want to touch her cheeks? Bowen apparently has no self-control when it comes to this.} We have a sweet little neighbor who’s almost one and has just started walking. Want to guess what Bowen goes for as soon as he sees her? CHEEKS!
*Those are my people. I’m certain if you came over for dinner and joined us for evening, you’d love them too. And odds are, you’d leave exhausted. hahaha!
I’ve blogged before on a few of these topics. In case you were wondering about the girl behind the blog. 🙂
You should join us in two weeks when we talk Kids’ Parties!
Show and Tell 2017:
