I thought it’d be fun to document my birthday hour-by-hour, but then later I realized my birthday was a lot of me just being lazy. ha! It probably wouldn’t be that great to read. I’ll share the highlights tomorrow on my Friday Favorites. 🙂 So I switched the hour-by-hour post to yesterday!
Here’s my day by the hour…
Here’s my day by the hour…
6 a.m.-My day started with this goodness.
7 a.m.-I’m spreading a little pixie dust on some magical vacations.
8 a.m.-The last day to turn in Bowen’s preschool paperwork. First stop-pick up immunization records and second stop-preschool.
9 a.m.-We picked up Kensington to hang with us for the day.
10 a.m.-The kiddos were playing so well upstairs. My parents left and I grabbed a few more minutes to work on blog stuff.
11 a.m.-We all loaded up to head to the pool! (We were unbuckling-we didn’t ride without seat belts.)
12 p.m.-We met the Dreffs at the pool and had lunch poolside.
1 p.m.-Narci and I documented the “mom table”. I was laughing so hard because when we posed for the picture-somehow Narci had her hand ON MY NECK. hahaha! I’m sure you had to see it to understand, but we both died laughing. #whatdoyoudowithyourhand
1:30 p.m.-Mrs. Narci brought cupcakes so we celebrated my birthday. You know I didn’t mind. 😉 Tab jokes that I like to celebrate my birthday for the entire month of August. ha!
2 p.m.-I tucked this little guy into my bed for a nice long nap. He woke up three and a half hours later! When grandparents are in town, you skip naps, and you’re only three…you can get really tired.
3 p.m.-The dishwasher guys showed up and was super suspicious about this whole selfie thing. Who can blame him? This guy, Mike, and I are practically BFF now. This was his fifth time to visit our house and more importantly our dishwasher in the last two months. If something else happens, we’re getting a new one! And I must add that Mike insisted I fill out the online survey about his visit. I mean…I have to give him great reviews-who else would pose for a picture? Right?
4 p.m.-These cuties took a little break from playing and watched a movie while enjoying popcorn. (I was working and Bowen was napping.)
5 p.m.-Tab called to say he would be home around ten so all thoughts of cooking a real dinner went right out the window. We loaded up to grab something to eat.
6 p.m.-My plan was to eat somewhere so I didn’t have a mess to clean up. However, I took a look in the rearview mirror and remembered I was STILL in my swimsuit from earlier in the day. So we headed to the DRIVE-THRU at Rosa’s. 🙂
7 p.m.-I locked myself in the bathroom, took a bath, and read a couple chapters of this book.
8 p.m.-After overseeing bath time and putting the kiddos to bed, I grabbed a little ice cream (#keepinitreal) and watched Big Brother!
8:30 p.m.-My doorbell rang and this package arrived!!! Some sweet friends from college sent me this barbecue sauce and Cavender’s seasoning that you can only get in the Missouri/Arkansas area. I was NOT expecting it, so it was such a fun little surprise. I’m not even kidding…in my pajamas at 8:30 p.m.-if Tab had been home I would have headed straight to the grocery story for ground beef. hahaha!
Then I finished this blog post and headed straight to bed by 9:00. It was GLORIOUS!
Hope you enjoyed my day by the hour. 🙂
You crack me up! The selfie with the dishwasher repair man made me laugh out loud! Hope you gave him 5 stars on the survey. Thanks for giving me a peak into your day.
Thank you so much for letting Kensington spend the day with you! She had the BEST time! Annnnd…the picture of you and Mike CRACKED ME UP!

Celebrating the whole month is the only way to go!!! Lol. I'm bummed I missed out on the pool!!!
If your actual birthday was Aug 1, we share the same birthday. Happy belated birthday to you. I celebrate for a month also. I'm always little sad when Aug is over.
My birthday was the 2nd, but I definitely think we can still celebrate together. 🙂
