Our Thanksgiving Birthday Weekend

Hey!  Hey!  Hey!

It’s DECEMBER, friends.  Can you believe it?  We had a great Thanksgiving break and birthday celebration for Bowen.  And we got out of the house which means these days it’s worth documenting.

Here’s a little recap of our break…
Wednesday-Ebby Lee and I prepped all the food, picked up the pies,  grabbed the turkey/ham, cleaned the kitchen, and were not about to make a dinner mess.  Instead we all got ready and went to Legacy West for a fun dinner out!  The area had several photo prop areas set up complete with phone holders so we didn’t even have to ask anyone to take our picture!

You know the best way to prepare for a Thanksgiving feast?  Have way too much chips, queso, and guacamole the night before.

It was the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving Eve with my favorite people. {Psst…my top is this one and it also comes in black.}

Thanksgiving Day was spent at Marla’s house eating a delicious meal and watching football.  {My top is this one and also comes in white.}

Marla did a fabulous job making the table absolutely gorgeous but I didn’t take a single picture inside.

Friday morning we woke up with an EIGHT-YEAR-OLD!  I’d mentioned my family was gonna come and then plans changed so I’d already reserved bays at Top Golf in preparation.  Instead of it being a family party, we invited friends and celebrated Bowen with golf swings and cheeseburgers.

I discovered most of Britt’s Christmas clothes from last year STILL FIT!  WAHOO!

Bowen’s party crew!!  Some of his besties were out of town for Thanksgiving but these four made his party extra special.

You didn’t have to tell this girl twice.  She was busy golfing the entire time.  She even told me after the party her back was sore from golfing.

These two were full of Christmas cheer!

These five had their own little bay, took turns, and were bummed when I told them their time was up.

Before time was up, we had birthday cake!  Bowen requested an OSU cake this year.

So thankful we got to celebrate with friends!  You can see in the background each bay was separated by a partition keeping a safe distance from others.

And later that night to wrap up the birthday fun, we had dinner on the square and spotted the gorgeous tree all lit up for the season.

Our weak attempt at a picture with just the birthday boy.  #wefailed

Saturday-Tab left for his football game so that evening the kids and I showered, got all decked in Christmas pajamas, and went to view the Radiance Christmas light display in Frisco.  The lights were fun, but our hour wait in the car even with the VIP ticket almost made me claustrophobic and I didn’t even know I could be claustrophobic.  You live, you learn and we probably won’t hit this experience up next year.

That was a little look at our Thanksgiving week!  Tomorrow is Ebby Lee’s Gift Guide post.  It’s finally ready!

XO
