Our July 4th like everyone else’s looked a little different this year. We like to start our morning with the Independence Day parade in downtown McKinney, but this year the parade was a drive-by for guests. We opted out and instead got everything ready for a backyard party at our house! The Shull crew came over right after lunch and we swam, slid, and ate until it was time to go watch the fireworks.
The bounce house slide was on repeat for us all…even the adults. 🙂
Late afternoon we made our way over to my neighbor’s to paddle board and canoe in the lake. I didn’t even think to take my phone with me so no pictures of that, but according to my kids, we need to start doing that much more! They loved it!
Lots of snacks, drinks, and 4th of July goodies…and the only picture I have of Bowen! He was BUSY!
We grilled fajitas with all the toppings, enjoyed queso, corn dip, and salad all before our strawberry dessert created by Ebby Lee.
A great day with these two firecrackers. 🙂
