Oh, What a Night {errrr….Weekend}

I know.  I know.  I’m like a broken record but I’ve been talking about it for days so I’m guessing some of you might want me to share a little since you have the full back story.  This past Friday evening was the inaugural Manda Strong Gala.

I served on the Manda Strong Gala committee and remember us meeting for the first time right after Spring Break last year to get all the gears turning for this special event.

Friends, it did NOT disappoint!
Sean and Catherine {from the Bachelor and yes, Shay’s brother and sister-in-law} kicked off the night as the emcees to get the party started.  They were GREAT, by the way!  We had a delicious dinner catered by our local chop house, Rick’s, a live auction with some amazing items, and then my favorite local band, The Three Amigos, ended the night.  Everyone came ready to raise money for such a great cause!

Some of my favorite ladies all looking gorgeous for this special night.

Gary and Marla {Tab’s dad and step-mom}, you often see on this little blog space of mine arrived looking fabulous!

Sean and Catherine kicking off the night.

One of my favorite things from the night were getting to see friends from all different stages of Manda’s life.  There were friends there from years before Tab and I even met Manda.  As well as friends throughout her life.  It was really cool to see everyone come together for such a great cause and to honor her.

The photo booth was lots of fun!

We couldn’t get enough.  🙂  Do you recognize these girls?
Meagan, Sheaffer, Jeni, and Shay

This is my sweet friend, Jennifer, who has a health and wellness business…fun cooking videos, podcasts, and much much more.  Word on the street is one of my favorite girls is on her podcast tomorrow!

We couldn’t stay away.  🙂

We’ve been friends for almost 15 years, and I almost found a picture from the beginning for you…

This one is really close!

We ended the night with the Mix and Match Travel Agency, representin’.

I can’t say THANK YOU enough to everyone who helped donate online to make this such a big success!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU for helping the Manda Strong Foundation bless these moms!

Saturday, Nixon and his team had two scrimmages with enough time in between for a little Whataburger.

Afterwards there were three volleyball games where these two besties played and played.  We were busy with sports all day and then Sunday was a repeat.

Tab worked the XFL game on Sunday afternoon in Dallas so Gary took Bowen to watch.  Bowen asked Marla for some help with a sign and I have no doubts her handiwork got this boy on the big screen!!

Oh, What a WEEKEND it was!  Now I’m getting geared up for none other than SPRING BREAK!  Hope your Monday is off to a great start!
XO

My husband walked in the den while I was reading and the XFL game was on. He asked me who was winning and I said "I have no idea, but that blog that I read, her husband is a referee , if that counts for anything". Ha!
