This is what he thought about getting up early to go to school!! He was absolutely NOT a fan of getting up early!
He just wanted to be held. He did NOT want to make new friends.
He wanted his mama. He did NOT want to color with his new friends.
He did NOT want to go!!
Ebby Lee was SO excited about going!
But…at the end of the day, when I picked Nixon up…his teachers said that he had been SO good ALL day! He even took a nap on a NAP MAT!! Little 16 month old-Nixon slept on a nap mat during nap time. They said that he was one of the first to go to sleep! He even colored and made me a card that said, “On my first day of school…”. I was so proud of him!! He is growing up!
Ebby Lee also had a good day. Her teachers said that she did SO well!! She told me when I picked her up that she had “lots of fun”. She made me a cute little craft with her handprint. So cute!
I had a great day too!! The kiddos were so sweet and all were pretty well behaved. We had the usual “he hit me”, “he tried to kiss me”, and “she keeps touching me” complaints. And…I was SUPER stressed about our line. Every time we went somewhere our line looked like the letter Z! How hard is it for 14-3 year olds to make a straight line? Apparently, pretty hard! But…everyone survived their first day with Ms. Erika. So…all in all our first days were a huge success!
