Life Catch-Up

Today, I’m catching you up on life in the Slaughter House.

First up, if you’re not following along on Instagram for our Photo-A-Day in May challenge with Shay, you should be!  You can follow along with me right here.

Our month started off by everyone sharing a SELFIE!  This was me on a Friday with clean hair.  #doesnthappenthatoften

We’ve spent WAY more time in our backyard this season than ever before.  Miss Britt has been on her, “A” Game in the pool.  She is my kiddo who loves swimming the most.

I’m so thankful for these four.  They keep me laughing, smiling, giggling, and who am I kidding…yelling.  hahaha!

This brand of swimwear has to be my favorite.  #vacayallday

How we love this girly so very much!

Nixon took this picture to show me how far he hit the baseball…over that tree.

Tab and I were a part of this 5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Son Bible Study when our kids were little bitty.  We bought the daughter study, but couldn’t make it work with our schedules.  I pulled it out of the cabinet recently and started working through it.  Now is the PERFECT time for this study!  Everything the author mentions is something Ebby Lee and I have talked about or will be something that comes up in middle school.  I wanted to share this with you so badly that I might have commented on the author’s Instagram in order to find out where you can buy this and it’s not in print anymore.  However, she has revised and updated this book.

I’ve been drinking my fair share of coffee.

Have participated in many Peloton workouts.

And have online learned via first grade many a days.

Vibrant, bright colors just make me happy…even if it’s just a shirt.

The Blue Angels flew over our town recently to support all the medical workers so we made our way out to see them.

I don’t get dressed everyday, but I feel so much more productive when I do.

I spied a fourth grader getting his work finished.

Loving all this time together!

Lunch al fresco 🙂

My new patio lounge chairs haven’t arrived so I’ve been lounging poolside like I did back in high school…straight up on the ground.

I had the best Mother’s Day being spoiled rotten by these four and Tab.

I wished my mom a Happy Mother’s Day with this oldie but goodie.  I got a lot of feedback from you guys saying Bowen looked just like me.  What do you think?  By the way, I remember LOVING that Scottie dog plaid top with the matching skirt.

The girlies and I walked around the park a few times yesterday for some exercise.

This little ray of sunshine has no personality.

I mean.  Can you tell?

There’s a little look at the happenings inside the Slaughter House.
XO

I love all your posts! I have a Pelton bike, too, which I ride all the time. You need to try a Power Zone challenge sometime. I'm just finishing up my 4th challenge this week. You join a team and do a certain number of rides each week. It's very motivating and a great workout! The next one starts the beginning of June. They normally go from 6 to 8 weeks. What is your leaderboard name? I would love to follow you 🙂

I love all of your posts and this is the first time that I have commented. Your posts are always so uplifting and cheerful! I have a Peloton bike, too, which I ride all of the time. You need to try a Power Zone challenge sometime. You join a team and ride a certain number of rides each week. It is very motivating and really helps to become a stronger rider. I'm just finishing up my 4th challenge this week and I've really seen improvements in my strength and output on the bike over the past year. The next challenge starts the beginning of June and normally last 6 to 8 weeks. What is your leaderboard name? I would love to follow you 🙂
