Last week an insurance company sent Tab and I to Orange Beach, California, to spoil us rotten!! We left bright and early Wednesday morning. G came over to babysit until my parents and grandparents arrived later that afternoon. Our first stop was this fantastic mexican food place. It’s been said that the Real Housewives of Orange County eat there…but who knows if that’s true? After lunch we headed into Laguna Beach to walk around. They had lots of cute shops.
Don’t let the sunshine fool you. It was beautiful…but only 60 degrees MAYBE!
Wednesday night we had a dinner to go to at the resort. Let me tell you about this resort…AMAZING!! We stayed in “bungalows”. They were beautiful. I can’t believe I forgot to take pictures of those! For every 1 guest at the resort, there were always 3 workers on staff!
Thursday, we drove into Los Angeles to do touristy stuff. We headed out on a tour bus to see the star’s homes! Our first stop…the Hollywood sign!
This is where the fun began. Those of you that know me know that I do not like to learn about history or historical things AT ALL. But…I LOVED learning about all of this!! Our driver would tell us all kinds of fun little tidbits. See this security bushes….they belong to Justin Timberlake!!!
I totally recognized this house!! Lauren Conrad’s house on The Hills!
This was the street they filmed part of the movie Halloween. We saw the house too…but I thought the street looked more creepy!
Dr. Phil’s house…our driver told us that he’s HEARD that Dr. Phil and Robin are getting divorced!! I SO hope that isn’t true!!!
Michael Jackson’s house…CrEePy!!!
We drove through the Hollywood Hills and then went to Beverly Hills on the tour.
Simon Cowell bought a house here, tore it down, and rebuilt this one. I love that he didn’t have those crazy security bushes all over.
The El Pollo Loco…it’s like a chicken fast food chain…where BRAD PITT first worked when he moved out to L.A.!!
In front of the Chinese Theater….I was loving this!
We saw this Mickey Mouse and instantly thought of Ebby Lee. We picked her up a little prize in the store. When we got back and she saw this picture…she thought it was too cool. Daddy and Mickey??
We were trying to avoid the traffic…so we drove to the USC campus…just to check it out.
Tab was loving this!
Friday morning we woke up to RAIN. The other guys Tab was supposed to golf with instantly cancelled, but a few minutes later the sun came out and it was BEAUTIFUL!! So that Tab wouldn’t have to golf alone, I loaded up with him to hang out and see the AMAZING scenery.
After lunch, we walked down to the beach. Still COLD, but so pretty!
We had a dinner out on Friday. They loaded up different groups of us and shipped us to different restaurants. We ate at a delicious seafood place. This was our idea of a self-portrait! The best we could do.
We stopped by the pool to have our picture taken there.
Our final day there, Tab’s friend from college, Luis, and his wife, Maribel, came to pick us up and show us more of what California had to offer. We went to the Santa Monica pier, did some shopping, and then had some more FABULOUS food. It was great getting to meet them. They were so much fun. We’re hoping they make a trip to Dallas really soon!!
We left bright and early the next morning to come home. We were so excited to see our kiddos!! Thank you so much G, T-Nonnie, Boo, Grandpa, and Grandma!! Our kids were SPOILED ROTTEN when we got home, but we know they had so much fun while we were away.
Love the picture of the two of you with the skyline behind you. LOVE your shirt in that picture even more. 🙂
I love all of the house pictures! Sooooo cool! I also love that you sought after a Real Housewives hot spot. And I agree with Sheaffer, you looked super cute in your vacation clothes :).
