From Celebrity Big Brother to Bay Leaves

Can we chat about Celebrity Big Brother for a minute? First of all, this show usually feels like a small, small job you have in high school where you work just a couple hours a week. Right? That three day commitment to watch in the summer is a lot but totally doable. This “Celebrity” edition which condenses the season into just a couple weeks because celebrities don’t want to be away in a house for long is another ballgame all in itself. It’s short-I’ll give it that-just four weeks BUT do you know there’s a week when the show is on five nights. I’m going to say that again. This show will be on five nights next week! That’s like basically I have a part-time job of just watching Celebrity Big Brother so I don’t get behind. Anyone else feeling this way?

Now let’s get down to game talk-I don’t see how it can happen after his “please save me speech” was basically send me home instead of Mirai, but I like Chris Kattan. He brings extra humor to the show so I’m really hoping he gets to stay for a while.

Alliances were made really early on-like day one but now is ANYONE still voting with their alliance? It took them less than 48 hours to break those or start playing for themselves. I’m confused by that.

Do you think many of them watch the show? My guess is Chris Kirkpatrick, for sure watches, but anyone else? I’m a Cynthia Bailey fan but she said something in an episode that made me realize she has no idea what goes on inside the house.

And what about that Mon Won purse hat? It was in that moment when Cynthia was wearing it on her head that I thought the producers of this show couldn’t come up with anything better than a purse hat for her to wear?! I had millions of ideas!

Do you have a favorite?

Now let’s discuss Bay Leaves for a second? I made a beef stew in my slow cooker yesterday that had the recipe calling for, “One Bay Leaf”. One. Now let’s be honest here. In a large slow cooker filled with meat, veggies, seasoning, and liquid does that ONE leaf really make a difference? Like if I’d have left it out, would we have been eating dinner and actually thought, “Wow! That’s really missing a bay leaf?”. I’m not into super precise measurements when it comes to cooking which is why the slow cooker if my BFF {and why I’m not so good at baking}. When I had to search the contents of my spice cabinet for the bay leaves it just got me thinking. Is that REALLY necessary? Thoughts?

Children-I’m not going to say who because I’m not a fan of blasting my kids on any type of social media but this is just funny. Also-I won’t share which kid did this but yesterday I walked into the kitchen to said child with a hat on. When I asked why he/she was wearing a hat {because hats aren’t allowed at school} he/she responded with, “My hair is a mess so I’m using the hat to form my hair”. WHAT IN THE WORLD?! Turns out, the hair wasn’t laying smoothly under the hat so the hat caused it’s own set of issues.

Today is a pretty typical Thursday-kids are going to school, I’m working from home, and we have all the things after school. I’d love to invite you to follow along!

The best part about today is Tab is returning! YAY! I might have texted him this earlier this week, “I’m booking myself a solo trip to the beach when you return”. Bahahahaha! Needless to say I’m looking forward to his return!

Okay, if that isn’t the most random blog post-well, I don’t know what is! From Celebrity Big Brother to bay leaves, we covered all the things on my mind. I’ll be back here tomorrow with Friday Favorites!
